Default this a good blu?

LG Super Blu™ BH200 Blu-ray and HD-DVD Player

my brother has one and seems to like it but only gets 720p due to his tv
he paid 700 for it and now i am seeing them for 250 shipped

do hd dvd project in 1080p?
because i would do both formats, why not

so just wondering if this player is worth it

You do know hd dvd is dead right? A dual format player is beyond pointless now even if it is $250 unless maybe you have a large number of hd duds laying around somewhere.

For $250 I would go for the Sony S350 or the Panny 35...I would not mess with a dual format player.

Your much better off just buying a dedicated blu-ray player, HD DVD doesn't even look as good as blu, they aren't as crisp and they lack a lot of HD audio, personally not worth buying.
