Default "Eagle Eye" Purchase Problems

I was given a $30 Target Gift Card that I planned to use on "EE". I went to Target today and was snappily told "Movies don't come out on Saturday sir! Tuesdays!". I said "Don't snap at me and no, 'Traitor' came out last Friday and Paramount is releasing a number of discs today". She looked at her sheet and "Said 'oh it's the 28th! Come back tomorrow!' I called a nearby Target and Best Buy and both were selling it. Best Buy actually started yesterday. I told her this and she was like "It's not the street date yet sir!" I said "Obviously it is or your other stores and competitors would not have it! I'm going to go buy it at Best Buy. Meanwhile, you get your ducks in a row."

Now I'm off to the website to complain to somebody at an 800 number

Personnally, I hate the Tuesday release date. That makes no sense to me. It should be Sunday. I often want to buy other posted sale items that start on Sunday and those other posted sales items may sell out by Tuesday.

Is it too much to ask that I can buy on-sale sodas, chips and toilet paper along with a new released movie on Sunday.

Hey Target guy, let us know if Eagle Eye BD at Target has the $10 off combo coupon on the outside of the shrinkwrap. Thanks.

P.S. If the coupon is there can it be used on Sunday 12/28 as the coupons states 12/30? Thanks.

I agree it doesn't seem to make sense. Movies are released is theaters on Fridays (mainly) makes sense. Sunday paper gives you information on things on sale at the stores that day also makes sense. Tuesday releases for movies... i don't get it. Maybe the movie distributors are trying to give you something to look forward to in the mid of the week in between the new releases at the theaters. I would like some closure.

So a different Target told me it streets on the 30th so I drove up the street to Best Buy and what did I see? A HUGE display for "Eagle Eye"! To the right was a smaller stand with Blu-rays of "Ghost Town and "The Duchess"

Your dealing with a low paid employee that could get in trouble for putting things out when they aren't suppose to. Corporate (who got the street date wrong to begin with) made the mistake. She is doing what she is suppose to do and isn't her fault. The computer system probably doesn't even allow for it to be checked out. What you should've done is talked to a supervisor that could have override the street date, and showed them proof of the street date. Don't blame some low paid employee that is doing what she is told for Corporate's mistake.

I used to work for gamestop and the corporation can be fine 10k per item sold before street date, so I understand when people are nervous about streetdates. Shitty customer service though is unexcusable. espescailly these days they should be kissing your ass for those dollars!

No I understand that the street date is wrong and that is Corporate's fault but my rude treatment is what really upsets about her. She snapped at me from the start like I'm an idiot; "movies don't come out on Saturday!"

way better than dealing with brick and mortar stupidty. how some of the people in these stores have jobs is beyond me.

Same thing happened to me today. Had a Target card to use, and I went their looking for EE and Ghost Town. Ghost Town wasn't even out, but EE was out in good numbers, and it even scanned in the aisle.

I go up to the register with several Blu-Ray's and the CS supervisor wouldn't sell it, so I just left everything on the counter and walked out. With this economy, and how shitty holiday revenues have been, especially due to bad weather around here, these stores need to not piss off people who are about to buy $100 worth of movies.

Just went to Best Buy instead.

Well I saw "Ghost Town". Not worth a purchase. One time watch.

But yeah so guess what? I was so thrilled when I had "Eagle Eye" cause my father and I were like "Yeah Mom loves a good thriller". Hell Friday night we watched "Clear & Present Danger" for like the 6th or 7th time (First on Blu).

But she had to defuse an office situation on her day off so instead of making her old cake recipe, having a family friend over, making a roast, then sitting and watching a mystery (Which we watch TONS of) we went out to dinner with the friend. Mom got drunk; a rarity. Then she proceeds to come home and try to talk through the movie even though me, Dad, an her friend kept telling her to shut up. During crucial scenes where plot points are revealed she was trying to talk to Sally. Sally was ignoring her with a pissed off look. So we had to stop a few times and yell at her to let us watch. The movie ended and she claimed not to have understood. We said "Yeah cause you were too drunk to follow. It's no more complicated than "CAPD" or an episode of "Numbers" or "NCIS"". She maintains that she wouldn't lie and that she never looked away from the film to try and talk to Sally which is more infuriating because it's a lie on a lie. So then I told her "I'm going to bed. I have work at noon". She grabs me and keeps up the BS and starts slapping me around on my arm and face. I hit her back and told her to keep her hands off me or I'd call the cops. Then I called her a drunk Bee-otch and walked downstairs where I sleep. Overall just a real pleasant evening. Top that somebody. LOL
