Excellent movie. Margot Robbie is great, Allison Janney is Oscar-worthy, it's very stylistic, the script is funny and gut-wrenchingly depressing at the same time, and the soundtrack sounds like it was curated by me. In other words, day one.

This movie rocks, so glad i saw it in theaters. If you haven't yet, GO. What makes this movie so refreshing and entertaining is that it isn't just another run of the mill biopic; i mean most of us remember the story - it totally captivated the country. The factual recap has been told. Instead "I Tonya" gives us a dark comedy spin on the story that tugs at you repeatedly during the film and asks you "so ... how do you feel about Tonya" ?

Dying to see this, but it doesn't open in the UK until next month.
Did anyone see the 30 for 30 doc on the crime, The Price of Gold? Absolutely jaw-dropping stuff, like an Elmore Leonard novel in how dumb some criminals can be. Please to hear I, Tonya doesn't shy away from the abuse she suffered from her loved ones. |

Great bonus features, but it would've been cool if they also included the excellent 30-for-30 documentary about Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan that inspired Steve Rogers to write this film. The old TV movie from 1994 ("Tonya & Nancy: The Inside Story") with Alexandra Powers as Tonya and Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Kerrigan would've been a neat bonus too. It's kinda awful, but there's some interesting similarities to I, Tonya. Both films have an interview/flashback format, and similarly explore Tonya's childhood.
