Default Your Personal UHD Graveyard (aka movies you've sold)

Here's a space for you to list the UHDs you purchased--and whether it was due to poor PQ, the movie just not clicking with you, or you needed the money to pay for your cereal addiction--then decided to sell. Feel free to memorialize them with a few parting words. My list is as follows:

Storks
Sing
Secret Life of Pets
Ice Age Collision Course
Angry Birds
Deepwater Horizon
Independence Day
All 3 Xmen movies
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I sold Crouching Tiger, but the rest...no regrets!

I've actually got a list I've already made up just for such an occasion

Expendables 3 (botched HDR),
IMAX Journey Into Space (meh movie),
ID4 (bad artefacting in SDR),
Life of Pi (meh movie),
Star Trek '09 (twice),
Peanuts (meh movie, but rebought to check for banding on new HDR TV),
STID (twice),
Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II (both because they looked bizarre in SDR),
Fury Road, San Andreas (got them both cheaper in a french double pack),
X-Men First Class (looked poor in SDR but I must revisit it),
Bourne Identity (need I say more),
Bourne Legacy (bizarrely desaturated colour),
Bourne Ultimatum UK (damned player generated subs, bought the US version),
Van Helsing (meh movie).

Baby Driver.

I was really let down by this. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I just couldn't get into it. The ending was just goofy.

Wow, this list is much longer than I thought.

Keeping Up with the Joneses
The Girl on the Train
Central Intelligence
Logan Lucky
Atomic Blonde
Baywatch
X-Men: Apocalypse
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
Hidden Figures
The Fifth Element
Ghost in the Shell

I just didn’t see myself ever wanting to watch any of these again.

Will you rebuy Ghostbusters 1 and 2 as you have your new TV now? I thought they were meant to look fantastic for 35mm 4K transfers.

None. Haven't sold a BD since I started collecting back in late 2011.

Some day I’ll make a topic for UHDs that you’ve bought, then sold, then bought again, and then sold again.

Only one I've sold was X-Men: First Class because I heard it didn't look good but that may be wrong now.

EDIT: Also sold the JJ Trek films. IX cos I heard it looked bad and Into Darkness because I just can't get down with that film no matter how hard I try.

When UHD's started I bought a lot just because I was itching for content. I've sold off some movies that I bought just because they were in 4K:

Billy Lynn (I thought I would love the HFR and I hated it!)
Sully
Lone Survivor
Hancock

Also sold off the Mummy trilogy and just bought the first, as I don't think I'll ever see the others.

I sold X-Men First Class, Lincoln Lawyer and 3:10 to Yuma because I thought the UHDs looked worse than the BDs. I sold Dracula Untold because I thought the movie sucked (and I collect fantasy, so that's saying something. I sold Bridge Over the River Kwai 'cause it ain't my thing and I bought it for the prettys.

I wouldn't say it's as much an impulse buy thing as it is a "desperate for UHD content" thing.

In the process of buying Dark Tower from a fellow member. Glad to see it’s not on the “graveyard list” lol. I don’t expect it to be much, but hopefully it will be entertaining and excellent A/V.

I have sold many blu-rays, and having only gone to 4k months ago, I haven’t sold any yet. Crouching Tiger is on the fence though due to the “swarming ants.” I’ll most likely keep it as I got a heck of a deal on it.
