Talking Fallout 3 Or Resistance 2?

I have a choice to get one game...which game is better? I already have Resistance 1.

Fallout 3 as its one of the best games that I've ever played on the PS3. Even if you don't like RPGs, this one will turn you.

I haven't played either Resistance game so I can't compare, but I really enjoy Fallout 3. If you've played Obvlivion you should have an idea as to the basic gameplay mechanics as they are very similar. Also, the V.A.T.S system is very cool.

Haven't played FO3, but R2 is fantastic, I'm havintg a great time with it.

You're probably set either way, just depends on what type of game you'd rather get. FPS (R2) or RPG (FO3).

Resistance 2 is amazing! The first one was good, this one is 10X better! The single player game is epic, the on-line co-op is, in my opinion, the best co-op for any FPS game.

^Exactly!

The ONLY thing I can complain about is how you can't do the offline story mode co-op. It only lets you play the online missions offline. But that was probably necessary so that we could get the amazing online co-op.

Indeed! The co-op is so amazing! Buying this game would not cause you to regret the decision!

i've played both... and its a really tough decision. Fallout has done some really unique things (i played as a baby? WHAT?!) but then again Resistance 2 has an amazing co op feature (if your a spec ops, GET BEHIND THE SOLDIER!) it really depends on what you like. Fallout has a RPG overtone whereas Resistance is more of a FPS at heart, just with a sped up arcade feel. it really depends on what you like. both have trophies so that cant sway your opinion!

They are two very different games. In Fallout 3 you ask questions first and shoot later. In Resistance 2 you shoot first and really never bother to ask questions. I loved Resistance 2 so much I bought the first Resistance. I played Fallout 3 for a few hours and wasn't having fun so I got rid of it. The weird thing is I love RPGs and I love 1st person shooters but I hated Fallout 3.

I also thought the rendering of the people in Fallout 3, specifically their lifelikness, was pretty poor. That really annoyed me and made it hard to get into the game.

I would say if you are looking for a true single player experience, go fr Fallout 3. If its online you want, Resistance 2 wins it by default.

I have both and Fallout 3 takes it all the way. The game is just so immense and immersive. To me, R2 is just a really good average FPS.

Well I can't speak for Res2. I do plan on getting it down the road.
Fallout3 cost me over 100hrs of fun exploration and saddistic kills.
Man, talk about blood splatter...........

I am just the opposite. I have not played FO3, but i can say that R2 is amazing and must have for the PS3. Although, FO3 has more blood splatter, R2 has its fair share of death, destruction and carnage.

I have logged so many hours into Fallout. Its is an awesome game. I have R2, I liked the first one but it seemed kind of boring to me, I hope R2 is better. I would get Fallout.
