Default Any BD New Year Resolutions?

Perhaps not buying as many, perhaps buying more than ever, perhaps not blind buying, perhaps not spending as much and waiting for a better price, etc. etc.?

Any changes you are anticipating?

I'm definitely not going to buy as many BUT there were some real good releases in 2008. Regardless, I plan on being more selective.

For me it's gonna be:

1. Try to wait on most releases to buy until a week or two after release since the price will drop or it will go on sale.

2. Not to blind buy as much. Sometimes it works in your favor while other times you gotta end up getting rid of it.

For the Studios

1) Well I'll start with Warner I want all new films to have 24 bit DD True HD on them, and higher bit rate VC1 encoding on them. For older films they should do uncompressed mono like Criterion does

2) Fox/MGM, and Universal Put more special on to your disks.

My self not buying as many and thinking about my purchases a bit more.

Well, I already feel like I am pretty selective with my purchases (after tomorrow, I'm taking a month off of buying any Blu's). And aside from a few new releases, for the most part I'm just replacing the films I already have on DVD.

I guess just be more selective and don't spend too much on them. And actually watch them. Half of my collection I haven't even looked at yet.

Cut my spending in half. I spent a lot of money in 2008. I am playing to build a house so I need to save that money and use it towards the house first. However, I will pick up a title here and there.

Default I plan

I plan on being as selective in buying Blu Ray's as I have been in 2008. My first year in collecting.
Only, what I consider to be the best, as I do not wish to be the owner of 100's of Blu ray's.

True that.

I have to stop buying BDs. I'll try to keep it down to one a month. I've collected up to almost 40 in 2 months. I need to stop.

So yeah next year will be more about me and less about the Blu. ^^

i'm gonna try and not buy as many movies in general this year.

but once summer is over and movies start coming out on blu (ie: transformers 2, harry potter 6, angels & demons, wolverine), it's gonna get very, very hard.

Yeah. Stop buying Blu-Rays at Barnes & Noble.

$39.99 for Bottle Rocket. OMG.
It's $24.99 on Amazon.
