Sorry if this is a silly question, but you do have a PS+ account? And it's definitely up to date, ie, it didn't expire last week?

Go to the PS+ icon on the menu and check your account status.

I got a new controller today and it doesn't work in games unless I open the quick menu and turn the controller off and on again. This has to be done after the game has been started. I've tried this with Mass Effect: Andromeda and Battle Garegga, so I figure it's not game-specific.

Any ideas for a fix? Thanks in advance.

Seems to have worked itself out when I updated to the latest console firmware

What is the major difference between the PS4 and PS3 has been notified by game expert. Besides the Graphics difference, i don't find any major difference.

I redeemed a code and it didn't give me the option to download after. Fine, as this has happened before. I usually go to the game itself and the go to add ons. I am unable to find my downloaded item at all though. I searched the store, my library, add ons for game. I've tried re-entering code which has already been redeemed. Any solutions? This thing is nowhere to be found.

*Update* Figured it out by loading game up and finding item in my mail.

Glad I’m not the only one that has trouble like that. Most betas I can’t ever find until I do more work than necessary.

help i am trying to connect my ps4 to the audio receiver a yamaha aventage rxa3070 model. via hdmi. yet on the sytem before i start it says analog. and when i start up the ps4 and the little music comes on from the start up i see on the receiver show dts . and i click on youtube there is no sound . yet when i play a game there is sound from the speakers.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would go recheck your PS4's audio output settings as well as the settings on that HDMI input on the Yammy.

In the PS4 audio settings, try changing output to pcm. Or check to see what it's currently set to

just seeing if anyone has any recommendations on a cooling fan for the ps4 when it's laying down flat??

I built a tv stand. the opening I made for the ps4 is about 18" wide, 19" deep, and about 6" tall.

the unit has been running pretty hot the last couple of times I've played w/it sitting in there.

That's awesome. I wonder if it changes according to the date like the PS2 did. Iirc the crystals became more abundant the longer you had the system.

Anyone had issues with the ‘appear Offline’ function? Mine occasionally won’t let me go back (appear) online. I have to log out and only then does it let me. Also it says I am logged in elsewhere occasionally. I only have one PS4. I recently changed my password (couple weeks ago) and allowed 2 factor authentication so I’m pretty sure it’s not a hack.

Just decided to try it out and it did work. Had a heck of a time checking out though. Kept saying there was an error no matter what payment method I tried to use.

I got my son his own system. I've set my account to primary on his and his account is primary on the main one so we can access all the games.

Is there a way to play disc-based games together online? We tried to play Wildlands through share play but all he could do was see what I was doing. We couldn't get his character on to play as part of a squad no matter what we did.

Starting to get really pissed off with the Pro now. Although I can't say for sure if it is the Pro or my TV.

Before I moved house a few months back I had my Pro set up on this exact TV from launch and never had a single issue. But since I have moved and reconnected everything I'm getting handshake issues between it and the TV.

Usually it happens every time I turn the console on. Instead of the boot screen showing the TV just sits on the "No Signal" screen saying to (1) Check the cable is plugged in and the settings of the source device are correct. (2) Select the SOURCE button below to select a connected source.

I try choosing other sources and switching back to the source the Pro is plugged in to and sometimes get this message

Now I know for a fact this TV supports 2160pRGB which is the highest signal the Pro outputs.

The only way I can get the TV to output a signal is by going in to Safe Mode on the Pro, this always results in the TV outputting a signal and that signal is always in SD 480p then I can choose change resolution setting which takes me back to the Pro menu where I can set Auto or any other resolution and the image stays on screen as if nothing was ever wrong.

I've also had the image go black on me whilst playing, audio continues to play through my receiver which is via toslink.

All in all I'm at a loss. My Xbox One S works flawlessly so does every other HDMI connected device.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so what TV were you using, was it Pro or vanilla PS4? I'm wondering if there was a firmware update between me moving and plugging everything back in that may have started the handshake issues but it seems Samsung are blaming Sony and Sony are blaming Samsung nobody wants to own up to the issue.
