I try to get in a double feature when I go to the theatre, mostly because it can be hard to get away from the family, so I try to make the most of it. Last month, I managed to do The Disaster Artist and Lady Bird.

The most in one sitting was 5, the AMC Best Picture Showcase in 2009.
Milk
The Reader
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Slumdog Millionaire
Frost/Nixon

In the theatre, the most I've ever seen is two: a double feature of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back when they were the only two movies in the series. However, I do remember going to the drive-movies occasionally, which would have three movies. The last was usually a movie aimed at the adults, as kids would usually sleep through it. But, I never could get to sleep until late, even at home in bed - so I usually saw all three movies (unless my parents decided to leave after the second).

Just one a day for me. I'm always ready to do something else after one whether it be just walk around or go get something to eat. I enjoy watching movies at home more.

In a theater, eight: four "regular" films and four IMAX films at the museum theater. Been so long ago, I honestly can't remember the movies, except for Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. Have done four in a row a few times.

At home, not at all unusual to watch 8 to 12 on a day off. I keep a shelf full of shorter films (100 minutes & under) and anything new that fits that running time (The Dark Tower, It Comes at Night, etc.) goes on the "short shelf" for the next marathon.

Good grief........I forgot to mention all the soda/popcorn/nachos we ate during that 4 movie run. Not a good idea as we could have gone into some sort of shock.

I've gone to AMC's Best Picture Showcase every year since they started it. So I've done a number of five-film marathons over the years. Never any more than that, and can't really see wanting to.

In a row I've just done double features. Though I have seen three in a day a few times.

In total, think the most I've watched is four movies in a day. Just a couple weeks ago with a long train ride, I watched Heaven's Gate, Nixon, and Breathe (which felt more like four or even five movies given the length of two of them).

The last time I did this was in 1986. Three Amigos! and King Kong Lives. My eight-year-old brain nearly burst that day. Great memories.

I had the same situation from like '94-'96. I would go every Wednesday night, and some Thursdays, to preview that weekend's films with a friend who managed the theater and any of his employees that wanted to stick around. Soon he started having me help him assemble the print reels and previews, and eventually starting letting me do it all by myself while he finished up paperwork. About midnight or so we would start watching and be there until anywhere from 2am to 10am.

I'm confused - isn't that exactly what it says?

Only two. Contagion and Drive in 2011.

I don't want to sound like a snob or anything, but I usually like to digest a movie for a little while after seeing it and not just rush into something completely different.

I too was a projectionist at a theater, but after everything went digital. The only film I saw was during the limited Hateful Eight run. However, I was still supposed to screen all the digital movies in case the projector didn’t catch any errors. I think it only ever happened twice and we had to have a hard drive sent to us from another local theater that day.

I would go in very early Thursday morning, usually around 7, and just screen the ones I really wanted to see. It was typically around two or three a week. I got used to watching new release movies in perfect silence by myself. Now when I go the sound from popcorn bag crinkles, candy bag plastic, ice in an empty cup and everything like that drive me insane.

I've done it a couple of times. I was so worn out afterwards that I haven't done it in years. If I'm going to watch movies like this, I'd rather do it at home.

Every year if I’m living near enough to an AMC Best Picture Showcase, and I don’t have work. I’ve done it 6 times or so. During both February’s I was in Chicago, I did the AMC 24-Hour Marathon where they would show all the nominees in a 20-22 hour period.

First year, 2014:
Philomena, Her, 12 Years a Slave, The Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle, Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club, Nebraska, and Captain Phillips

Second year, 2015
Boyhood, The Theory of Everything, Birdman, Selma, American Sniper, The Imitation Game, Whiplash, The Grand Budapest Hotel

That's a whole lotta boring LOL
Not that they aren't good movies, but if I am doing huge marathons, it has to be movies with some action and excitement to keep we awake and not getting antsy in my seat.

6 movies. A Marvel Marathon on the opening day of the Avengers. IM1, Hulk, IM2, Thor, CA, and the Avengers. A memorable and fantastic event for my wife and I.

Can you imagine the effort needed to sit thru ALL BOND films if there was ever a marathon? Isn't the 25th Bond film due out this or next year?

I recently did a triple feature. I watched Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Coco, and Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri.
