I’m sure it’s always been this way, but the Razzie’s seem very uninspired. I assume they just look for the lowest rated films of the year and populate their categories based on that criteria, no real effort put forth for such a recognizable fake awards.

Why? Because he is so consistent at his portrayal of a character that he was praised for when the franchise began? His portrayal is just as good now as it was when everyone was cheering him for an Oscar when the first Pirates was released.

The Jennifer Lawrence nomination is utterly ridiculous as well.

I don't even know why I even bothered checking the nominations. The Razzies exist just so that good people can be lambasted for a while.

I think the character is now, pretty much, a caricature of itself

It was one of the worst films of 2017. It should've been in the Worst Picture category as well. Justice League got a major pass from the Razzies. That was a freaking disaster.

I guess from the nominees they did go with, I'd give the edge to The Mummy. Maybe it wasn't the worst movie of 2017, but it was still terrible and a massive disappointment given the talent involved. It's not like we should've expected The Emoji Movie, Transformers 5, or Fifty Shades Darker to be any good.
