That might never happen. If one does come out later I will buy it too. I also already have the Mondo steelbook.

That sounds like a pretty spectacular set!
As I figured any release at this time would probably be, I guess, since this flik is legendary.

I think it's going to look pretty spectacular sitting on my shelf and as I hinted earlier, don't think it's gonna last long on theirs.

I thought I read somewhere where it wouldn't be possible to re-master due to the limitation of the original resolution of the CGI.

There is another HD master that (I believe) was made for airing on Japanese TV that looked a lot better than the current BD masters, but at this rate I don't think we're ever going to see it released. People were hoping the recent JPN BD was going to use it, but it ended up being just a non-letterboxed version of the old master.

I want this too! Might have to save up some pennies here soon or miss the boat. I have been wanting to get the Japanese release but might just pick this up instead. Of course, I have no use for 2.0 but if it turns out that there are missing extras, I can always pick up the Japanese release too.

Looks like these might end up being individually numbered with the way they're keeping track. Pre-order time ends on February 5th. Plain Archive and The Blu Collection have used this similar method before too.

I pre-ordered the Premium Lenticular set this morning to match my KR Lenticular S.A.C. and 2nd Gig sets. This will be a septuple-dip for me on the original movie - seven different releases between US, UK, JP, and KR sets, lol.

I just ordered the Fullslip edition, I was never a fan of that image on the Premium Box and the two other books...meh.

I wanted it but cold feet when finalizing the pricing and then realized that We only live once and I would hate myself later if I didn’t get it! 😀 pre-ordered! Keeping fingers crossed that it is the more recent Japanese master. If not, I will get that release and put it in this set since I have no use for 2.0.
