Default Will Scrubs turn Blu?

I'm thinking about buying the complete Scrubs series but I'm just wondering if they are going to be released on Blu Ray any time soon? It would be a waste of money otherwise.

Quoted from Wikipedia:

"After the show was moved from NBC to ABC, the broadcast format for new episodes changed to high definition. John Inwood believes that older episodes will be re-released in HD as well. He protected for 16:9 aspect ratio from the very beginning so episodes could be aired in HD format when the market evolved. In his opinion, footage from the Super16 camera was not only sufficient to air in HD format, it looked terrific."

So there's hope the show will be re-released in HD format. Although you can't tell if it'll only be on TV or on Blu as well...

Okay, thanks.

I'll just buy it on DVD and sell it if it does ever come to Blu Ray.

Ohh, I though you meant "scrubs" like "Milt R Smith" and others out there in Internet land.

Amazon has that read good deal on seasons 1 through 6. I'm tempted. I'm pretty sure it will be a long time before we ever see it on bluray. I'm sure we will with that post above.

That's strange. That's completely opposite of what I've heard about the show.

Same here.

All I've ever heard is that Bill Lawrence likes the show 4:3 and would never go widescreen or HD. I've also heard it was never framed for 16:9.

I think ABC pretty much forced Lawrence to go HD for the new season, otherwise it would have stayed 4:3 SD.

Weird. I have the first 5 on DVD so far (since that's how they aired), but for the HD 8th season I will wait for BD.

If you read the quote precisely it actually said John Inwood who is the cinematographer on Scrubs. So there is a chance.

Ok now I'm completely confused. After last nights episodes, the same old intro was used...in HD. I don't get it.
