Blu-Ray is still a digital video is it not? its still a video format, and its still on a disc. Its can still be classed as a DVD.

That's like classifying DVD as VCD.

I'm likely to keep saying bd rather than BD. I'm not sure I've ever capitalized dvd or vhs, so I'll keep with the general laziness of internet posting and not shift everything uppercase. Sorry.

The only thing that kinda bothers me is the use of an E on Blu and the word DVD after Blu-ray.

I could care less about everything else. Hell, I am going to start saying Bloo-Ray instead! I love that word.

Yeah, I have over a hundred bloo's!

DVD does not stand for Digital Video Disc. It actually doesn't stand for anything.

Besides, DVD is an entirely different format.

Someone has far too much time on their hands - bottom line for me - is that I know what is being referred to when I see any of the above. Poor grammar and punctuation bother me much more than a newly developed phrase for a new technology.

WRONG

The studios and copyright holders couldn't come to a decisive decision so it doesn't officially stand for anything.

As lengthy as the list is, I'm still finding examples of new misspellings!

According to the DVD forum, the organisation that defined and manages the DVD specs, DVd means Digital Versatile Disk.

Damn, never thought about that. What would happen if I did use Boo-ray at that time? Would I get demerits thrust upon me?

So can we get the proper way to pluralize Blu-ray? I don't want to face the scorn and wraith of my online community.

And don't forget to add Blew-raise to the list
