![]() ![]() This movie would look gorgeous in HD, from the fog of London to the sunny vineyards of Provence. Marion Cotillard isn't too bad to look at, either! ![]() ![]() |

I Imported this from France. Just finished watching it. If anyone is interested, it is Region Free and the PQ and AQ are quite good. The disc is probably an exact replica of what it will be like if Fox releases in the states. I'm kind of surprised they haven't unless it is coming later this year.

The German disc (& I'd think the French too) is really a US disc (if Fox ever got around to releasing this in America it would be exactly the same disc), English titles, it defaults to English, the German & French tracks are just additional languages you can select. It looks great & it's cheap 7.97 euros plus p&p.
https://www.amazon.de/gutes-Jahr-Blu...s+jahr+blu+ray You can see here just how soft the DVD is compared to the Blu-ray. http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=5318&d2=5319&c=2168 Last edited by CinemaScope; 12-28-2017 at 02:08 PM. |

And to think, 7 years later that almost all of these got released. Can't believe Matchstick Men was released less than 5 years ago. Now here's hoping Disney works a deal with Fox in liscensing and release some Fox titles such as A Good Year. |

This title is very confusing. I've never owned it, can someone clarify if both the German and French BDs contain the same bonus features?
The DVD apparently contained a "Postcards from Provence" hybrid of audio commentary and making-of featurettes that autoplayed during the commentary: ![]() The German BD says it also has this "Postcards from Provence" feature, according to the back cover here: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/A-Goo...lu-ray/117999/ While the French BD lists the commentary and other features separately, according to its back cover: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/A-Goo...lu-ray/117934/ They appear to have different language and subtitle options, so they aren't the exact same disc. Can anyone confirm if one is superior between the French and German BDs? |

The German BD I have has all the features from the DVD AFAIK (The commentary is part of the Postcards from Provence feature)
It also auto selects English for the menu and movie, if your player is set to English The French BD is probably the exact same disc, any language/subtitle differences are mistakes or omissions at a guess. Last edited by drush9999; 05-26-2019 at 11:03 PM. |

I wish I had picked up the Hong Kong disc when it was briefly in print a couple of years ago, so I'd have English packaging and the title going in the right direction on the side, haha. Hong Kong BDs seem to go OOP super fast. I also missed the Hong Kong BD of The Siege, which is the only region-free edition with all the bonus features. I ended up importing the region-locked UK disc. At least the A Good Year discs all appear to be region-free. |

It looks like it's deleted in Germany, along with a lot of other Fox catalogue titles (Disney?), you can still buy it quite cheaply from the Marketplace, but I don't think that'll last long.
…& it doesn't look like France have it anymore. Last edited by CinemaScope; 05-21-2020 at 11:17 PM. |

Absolute madness that this still hasn’t been released in the US or UK.
This is a great little film, not an epic but it has a lot of heart. |
