SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE will also be released on blu-ray on the same day - right before the oscars =)

It was such a good movie, and I enjoyed it more than my favorite of last year...and the release date will be right after I get my HTS so I will be rocking out to the score!

Yeah lol same here. Well SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, was released in theatres in late October around the country but got wide release in December...so I guess it was time? lol. I am sure they are doing it for the Oscars.

I have trouble believing Slumdog Millionaire will be out that soon. It still hasn't been released wide yet, and I would expect that there would be a post-Oscars jump in business, especially if it could pull out a Best Picture win. I would have guessed this would be an April/May release.

I think they're anticipating it winning Best Picture.

Great news!

Slumdog Millionaire is an excellent film! One of the best this year.

Australia, however, is a terrible waste of 3 hours IMO.

When I first saw this film I thought it was very good but it wasn't quite good enough for me to purchase. After digesting it for a few weeks I think it was amazing and deserves every bit of praise its getting.

Day 1 purchase when it hits the states.

Excellent news for Slumdog. . .cannot wait for the release. It will join just 2 other blu-rays I've bought at normal store prices.

The first act just reminded me too much of City if God. I think the movie shined once the first act ended and the brothers were a wee bit older. It got even better when they were teens/young adults in the third act.

And I feel that the movie was original enough for my comment to be misleading...I just couldn't shake that feeling from the first act.

But when I left the theater I said it reminded me of a Indian City of God with a love story.

OMG! City Of God is what I thought of when I first saw it too! like all the visuals and camera work reminded me so much of City of God, but I had to realize the story was nothing like COG.

I wish City of God was on blu
