[QUOTE]Blur-ray Disc also is doing well overseas. The British Video Association and market research firm Futuresource report that European sales are strong. In England ( ) , consumers purchased 462,500 Blu-ray Discs in November, and The Dark Knight sold more than 510,000 copies.

I love Blur-Ray

Remember there is more than one nation on this island thank you very much for proving how ignorant Americans are once again

Apart from that good article.

I take exception to that! I know that Canada and England are part of the same island! Also Tasmania is there too! See, us Americans are gooder at Geography.

To be perfectly honest, Europeans do the same thing. Everytime a hurricane hits within 200 miles of New Orleans (say it hit Biloxi, or part of MS) BBC would say it hit New Orleans. My parents would constantly get calls from my grandparents asking if everything was okay when it was nowhere near us.

It's just easier to lump everything into one simple category instead of detailing every little detail. Yes, it's correct to say Blu-ray did this in England, Scotland and Ireland, but quicker to say Blu-ray did this in England. Americans seem to associate all 3 as one because of the location.

It would be more correct to call it UK or GB, but I think many just get sloppy and call it England

Pretty much, similarly, I have folks who seem to think I got hit by hurricanes out in west texas .

Course ask me to know where Sydney is relative to Perth is a recipe for disappointment .
