I don't think this film will be particularly good.

But I must admit, watching the trailer for this in Dolby Cinema last night, it could look very good on UHD if given proper treatment.

Saw it over the weekend, I thought it was good. Nothing really "amazing" about it, just a good spy film. I like the concept of the Red Sparrow's though and I wish I could've seen her do more one-off operations instead of being thrown right in to something major right away. Plus I was hoping there'd be more action but that's just me lol.

What a sequel is for. Two other books out there to make into movies. This was meant to be a spy thriller and not straight up action flick. But again could have more of that in a sequel.

I liked this more than I thought I would but I wasn't expecting much. I'm not too sure about the replay value on this one though...

JLaw was excellent in this though, didn't like the chemistry with the american guy, or lack thereof.

Edit: Ended up pre ordering, I really liked the picture quality and the cinematography in this film lol

There's nothing special about a $25 Fox preorder though. That's their default price now.

I love how a guy who's reviews I enjoy basically called this "a big budget Hollywood spiritual remake of Salon Kitty".

and in a way...it is an expensive exploitation film with A-List actors. Good stuff.
