Having a tilting mount makes it easier to hook up cables if you ever need to make changes behind your set. Also, it can get pretty dusty behind there and the tilting also helps if you want to clean it up a little. I encourage most people to go ahead and get one just because you never know when you might want to tilt it.
Only real advantages of a non-tilting mount are they are a bit cheaper, and sometimes don't stick out as far from the wall. |

if you can afford a really good one, tilt it!
just make sure you install it super securely! because they'll stick out a little further than flat-mount, their pull on your wall is larger. but changing cables in the back is much easier! (i'm assuming you mean tilt mount by -turning the tv side to side and not just tilt the angle of the tv up and down) |
