Default TV Wall Mount

does anyone recommend a good, reliable wall mount that will hold a 42", but also be able to hold a 50"?? right now, i have a 42" insignia, but i plan on buying a 50" panny ASAP. i cant setup the rest of my HT without a wall mount right now and i dont feel like waiting. i also dont want to buy a wall mount and then have to buy another one when i buy the new tv. i think you guys get it... any suggestions?!

I got this one from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/PLASMA-LCD-TV-FLAT-TILT-WALL-MOUNT-32-37-46-50-52-60-
I have my 46" sharp hanging on it now. The only negative is how close it is to the wall. It was tough to plug in all the cables but it's very cheap and works great.

Yes it comes supplied with a built in level bubble so you don't have to attach a small level while lining up your mount....plenty of lit on tilting, swing arm dual arm etc....if you use the link mono explains the different features so you will not be confused...

Mounts Direct, I have bought four fully articulating mounts from them and all is well, many to choose from. They have some deals as well.

http://www.mountsdirect.com//index.p...e4b9a068ea132c

The most recent one that I just picked up was this one for my Pioneer 50" Kuro Pro-111FD. It is designed to fit many TV's and is super heavy duty.

Damn MDabb! $250 on a mount is pretty steep, but I guess when you have a Kuro you dont wanna go cheap, especially on an articulating mount. My 52" XBR4 is mounted with a $30 dollar Monoprice Wallmount and it has worked just fine ever since i mounted it a few months ago.

Mine is only a tilt mount, however i never use the tilt feature. It just looked a bit more sturdier than the regular non-tilt mounts

I wanted to make sure my investment is well secured !!! I'm sure most of the cost is related to the fact it is an articulating mount. All I know is, the mount is built like a tank and just as heavy........... Articulating mounts make things so nice too !!! Worth the money is you ask me, I can watch TV from the dining room now !!!

I'm using a monoprice tilting mount with my 50" plasma. The one thing to remember about the fully articulating swivel mounts is that they place the greatest strain on your wall while you have them pulled out from the wall. If you go with this type of mount, make certain you do a good job on the installation.

Not to sound like a D%#K but anytime "any" mount is used regardless of what type it is, make sure you either know what you are doing or hire someone to do the job.

As far as articulating mounts are concerned. That's why you spend a little extra money on a good mount. If a good heavy duty one is used, there will be absolutely nothing to worry about. It's as simple as buying the proper mount. I'm on my third articulating mount on three separate TV's and I could hang from them all.

Just wanted to share some positive experiences .

I agree 100%. I only wanted to stress that the articulating mount puts more strain on the wall mount than a flush or tilting mount while it's pulled out, and would therefore stand a greater chance of crashing down if you haven't done a good job of mounting it.

Hey !!!

That's where proper design comes into play. A a well made well designed articulating mount can be extremely strong. All about evenly distributing the weight. Sorry, I'm one of those people who had to do things like build bridges out of cardboard, which will stand up to extreme stress and weight.

I think we both put the emphasis on proper installation !!! Somebody could be out of a TV or even their beloved pet ..... and even worse if someone were to either poorly install an articulating mount or by using a shabby made one. Then again this is true of doing a poor job hanging anything heavy on a wall.

Ahh.... duct tape !!!

Disclaimer: No humans, pets, and/or TV's were either injured or killed while making this statement !!!

Well it actually could, you would just need someone to hold it while another person unscrews the tv from the bracket.

I also have this mount for my A950 and love it, got it at Sam's Club for $149.99.
