Yeah? You have a “user score” for Chinese audience reaction. Impressive!

Now PLEASE provide a link

And, please don’t link me to Deadline where they “hear user reaction was not great” in China. That site has the credibility of a doormat and brings an obvious agenda for promoting certain movies and bashing others.

Also, what do you mean that it “had a pretty rough Sunday”? Attendance for ALL films declines on Sunday.

Uprising, which stars Star Wars’ John Boyega (also a producer), scored what appears to be the biggest China opening day of 2018 for a Hollywood movie with $22.8M on Friday, followed by an estimated $25.2M on Saturday.

Just need to be on the Box Office Theory boards and all you box-office dreams will come true. There are people from every international market giving numbers and user scores.

It’s was made for Asia...specifically for China where it opened 20% above the first installement.

In fact. PR2 opened everywhere #1 and did better than expected in the domestic market. Red Sparrow; on the other hand, dropped another 50% (which I am sure you will classify as a “sturdy” hold). I’ll wait for your rebuttal .

With all the time you spend on the bo threads, I am VERY surprised at your response. The answer is pretty obvious . BTW, I am not even a big fan of the first movie, but yeah...the second installement is far from being a flop.

Giving it a 5/5 doesn't make you a big fan?

i think we are definitely getting a sequel. 94 million budget and its now on 212 million WW in its 2nd weekend. The potential for the sequel to get bigger exposure and do better is big. In the sequel she will be established as our new Tomb Raider and people will have forgotten Jolie

No it dosent. It means I enjoyed my viewing for the FIRST very much. It was very effective. I am not a fan of the series and the sequel has different talent and a different director involved. How about you do additional detective work and see how many times I posted in the thread for Pacific Rim Uprising. I’ll save you the trouble. I have posted ZERO times in the thread for the new movie . If you have anything else to add I would love to read it .

I don’t have an emotional investment in this movie and my interest to see it right now is minimal.

I made a point that PR2 is NOT a flop...nobody can argue RIGHT NOW that it’s a flop in a credible way. It could turn out to either be a financial winner or a loser, but it is off to a good start.

So basically you are posting whatever comes to your mind and passing it off as a factual argument? Got it.

But of course. That's Internet logic.

No, I'm telling you that's where all this info comes from.

Personally, I don’t believe in the concept of relaying on Asia (mainly China) will be sustainable.

Series I am a fan of, follow and really enjoy: James Bond, MCU, DC movie universe, Deadpool, Mission Impossible, X-Men, Wolverine, Star Wars, Underworld, Insidious, Conjuring, Annabelle, Jurassic World, Resident Evil and Star Trek.

Genres that I have zero interest in: musicals (any movie with lots of singing and dancing, coming of age movies, romance, movies about political figures, and all female reboots.

PRU already running behind Black Panther. Here's the first Monday comparison.

From Box Office Theory:
Quote:
PRU 1st monday 33m ($5.28M) is a bit under BP's 1st monday ($5.65M)

In China? It was supposed to exceed BP by a long shot.
