You need to read these threads if you think overpricing is all Monster is guilty of, seriously man. -

Then take a look at this one - http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/13/m...minigolf-suit/

Monster, due to MASSIVE ONLINE OUTRAGE, has stopped it's ridiculous lawsuit against "Monster Mini Golf". They cost them almost $200,000 in legal fees and when MMG had no more money they offered to settle with them for $100/month/franchise licensing fee to use the word Monster in their name.

IT'S MINI GOLF FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

Everyone should be writing to Best Buy, CC and Future Shop in a professional manner to tell them they no longer wish to see them carry a brand from such a crooked, greedy corporation.
If we are talking about ethics then you better add every single company to the list of *******s. Just where is everything electronic made and just how do they treat their slaves ??? Monster is so evil and the only one filled with greed and has little kids blood on their hands. You better add any company that is in it for a profit including Blu-ray itself.

Oh no we only draw the line at Monster.......... no one would own a damn thing if we are so worried about evil companies. Better not drive your car or own a Disney movie. Lame...........

Nothing can hurt companies such as these more than a educated consumer.

You just screwed up your argument there. You associated Bose with all of those superior companies saying they all "blow". What speakers from Polk have you personally auditioned in your home properly set-up and calibrated? Have you heard any of the vintage speakers from Polk, Klipsch, or even Bose like the 901? By the looks of your comment, no. You just lit a fire there buddy.

By the way, Mdabb simply said that some believe that Polk or whatever company is the best there is (which isn't true at all as nobody is neive to the extent that they believe the company of which speakers they own are the best). You really need to watch what you say.

I guess even your worst opinions can change. Try to have some literacy when making a point. You can't go around slamming companies that people like with no reason to your opinion and spelling the names of the companies wrong.

Hell you know this thread is gonna be closed soon so..........

My main point is this site seems to permit only the bashing of certain brands. If we are gonna do this on a regular basis then why not invite the outright bashing of anything else especially the more popular brands or whatever.

Polk and Klipsch are widely available and therefor very popular but so is Monster Brand. If you are on this site and already don't know about crap like Monster, after all there is a sticky about it.

Or even outright are a Monster fan, who cares right ???

Please do not think I am bashing on Polk or Klipsch !!! I just used them as example because they are very popular and widely available to the masses and because people own, buy and use them. Do they not ???

Are we going to start having all sorts of hater threads. Christ we are talking about a freakin cable not the bible.

Hate the game not the cable..........

Do you all remember when Circuit City (a.k.a. PanasonicPlasmaMan) had his Monster vs. Monoprice thread and said that Monster was better than any other company for HDMI? When he actually tried it for himself, he realized he made a dumb mistake and we all have forgiven him now (or so I think). I see this as FUD and ignorance at its best.

There is too much Microsoft, Bose, and Monster bashing here; absolutely. Sony's receivers used to be bashed a lot, Onkyo was bashed here for a while, as was Denon and Marantz. Even Klipsch has been bashed here. There is a fair amount of companies who have had their share and some of bashing and fanboyism. I don't encourage bashing of any company but I do encourage voicing your opinion, whether it is favorable or not, within reason with reason.

They did, see how Disney's Blu-ray discs all come with an insert telling you that Monster Cables are the best way to hook up your home theater?

The only thing lame is that that you didn't even take the time to read what was written before writing your pointless, dramatic rebuttal.

That you didn't read anything is evident by your profit conclusion, which is so completely off base and irrelevant that it's very obvious you have no desire to actually debate with a level head. If you take the time to actually read the links I sent you and see what I was talking about, you'll no doubt have a different response.

Nobody hates the cables, in fact they're great cables.
It's the company people hate on, and rightly so; Noel Lee is a total prick.

I agree if there is something to be debated about then yeah why not, I just don't get the point with hate threads ??? Not knowing about HDMI cables is one thing. Aren't people overpaying for a lot of things ???

If a product or brand is of questionable quality, overpriced or something is wrong with it than we should discuss it all we want.

I agree Monster cables are overpriced and I still get told about it. To say that Monster are a bunch of capitalists dicks is funny, it's the reason the Earth rotates. Name one company that cares about anything but $$$, there is no such thing. UNICEF doesn't make electronics ???

Hating to hate is what's lame......... frickin haters !!!

That's like hating Blu-ray because you overpaid and didn't shop around.

Maybe we should have a hate sticky for each brand and not lock it. Give an outlet to all the haters. Right now we are only allowed to hate on a certain few.
