Default Monster Cable For Life...the new MONSTER CABLES.

I know how we all feel about paying a premium for Monster Cables but their new cable line is to say the least...intriguing. First of all, their cables, except for their M Series, are rated now based on throughput. Also the prices have dropped pretty significantly compared to their last gen models. Also interesting to note is that they offer replacement for life if the HDMI standard EVER exceeds what their cables are rated for. Nice touch...

Also does anyone know if they are on Blu's side only? It mentions in the link about Blu-ray and the PS3, however no mention of HD-DVD.

Just some interesting reading...

No way they could be Blu only.

Same ports.

Most likly those comments are just because Blu is the more technically demanding standard.

I don't care what anyone says. I buy all Monster cables and I can tell a huge difference in picture/audio quality vs the cheap brands. They are worth the money if you can find them cheaper on the internet.

Wait, people with HD-DVD use 1080a(nything)? Maybe that's why they talk to the Blu crowd.

It's astonishing that Monster can sell cables for $90 that are no better than cables other companies sell for $10. Simply amazing ...

I don't know about spending that much for a hdmi I can get for like 2 bucks, but if it stops the cracklin' in the audio, or if anyone has any other hdmi cables that stop this please let me know so I can go pick up one or the other. Stay Blu Homies.

Take a look at your HDMI cable and see if the HDMI logo is on it. If it isn't, then it's a knock-off.

Someone I know had a knock-off HDMI cable. You could see white lines coming up in the screen every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. It was annoying.

This is why – people actually think there is a difference. Regardless of the fact that two HDMI cable properly made will perform the same, and regardless of the double blind tests that have proven this over and over again. It seems strange that the people with more modest systems always think they can see a difference, but those with higher end systems agree there is no difference.

Just like with Bose, people fall for the marketing hype.

It's like the study they did with college students where they gave them non-alcoholic beers. The students actually acted as if they were intoxicated then suddenly became sober as they were told that they were drinking non-alcoholic beers.

It's all in the mind.

Only if you want to see a difference. If you didn't know what cable was hooked up, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

We're talking about HDMI cables, not Cat 5e cables.
