Quote:
The Quentin Tarantino Film Festival, or QT-Fest, is a semi-annual film and multimedia event held by the Austin Film Society in Austin, Texas and attended by film director Quentin Tarantino. Most recently, the Alamo Drafthouse theater in downtown Austin, Texas has been the selected venue. What a varied list; the one that sticks out the most, to me, is “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad”. I wonder if that one’s from a personal print he owns.

I wonder if Tarantino likes to own blu rays of his prints as well. Does this mean he shops at Ronin Flix and Code Red's Big Cartel?

Interesting he has a print of Hell Night. The print SF used was incomplete and as a result they had to use horrible-looking SD inserts.

If only Tarantino seemed to care about Blu-rays instead of just prints and VHS then maybe he could have lended a hand.

No telling if his print is complete, it's highly probably chopped just like all the US ones were.

Or maybe it isnt his responsibility to lend out, sell or whatever what he owns to anyone who wants them. Or perhaps scream factory doesn't waste the time or money tracking down every single person who may or may not own a print.

For some reason Tarantino isn't a blu ray or DVD fan but thinks VHS is better than both.

I don't know. I'm going off a Howard Stern interview he did and he said he thinks VHS is better than both formats and that he doesn't really care for blu ray and DVD that much.

I've read that he's not particularly fond of blu ray. Not sure why though.

I have no connection with the QB Film Festival.

I'd love to curate a similar festival, if prints of these rarities could be found:

MME. OLGA'S MASSAGE PARLOR (1965)
THE STREET IS MY BEAT (1966)
THE GLASS CAGE (1964)
ANGEL'S FLIGHT (1965)
THE MANSON MASSACRE (1970/1976, English language)
THE YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS (1978)
HARD ON THE TRAIL (1973)
RUN ACROSS THE RIVER (1962)
THE DESERT RAVEN (1965)
NOT MY DAUGHTER (1970, aka LIKE IT IS)
MOVIE STAR, AMERICAN STYLE, OR LSD I HATE YOU (1967)

QT would probably love most of those.
