EDIT. Job done - With the announcement that Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man will be released on March 30th, every MCU film is now available in 4K in the UK.

I thought it might be useful to set up a thread to keep track of all the MCU 4K releases in the UK, as I am UK based. Feel free to join in with your own country or others.

Iron man, Iron man 2 and 3 have already being released in 4k UHD in Germany albeit with transfers that were not well reviewed.

It seems North America is getting releases of Avengers and Age of Ultron in August to go with Infinity War. I will have to keep my eye out for the UK too.

Avengers 1 and 2 now available for preorder in the UK. They are getting the UHD re-release to go alongside Infinity War. They will be released on September 3rd.

I’m purposely not buying any of the current 4K UHD MCU films because I’m eagerly awaiting for them to re-release all of them so I can hopefully by them as a phase one, two and three box sets! It’s the only thing I am currently obsessing about haha.

As nice as steelbooks are, I hope this means individual releases are on the horizon too. Gotta have that consistency... plus I need to put my Iron Man bonus discs somewhere.

Omg. Omg. Omg.

After I saw all the steelbooks of the latest Phase Three 4K, part of me now wishes I preordered all the MCU steelbooks. I can only find them on eBay for like $80 and even then who can really trust a non retailer.

It’s sad you can’t get Avengers 1&2 in 4K steelbooks in Australia ☹️

What are the chances of Marvel releasing a 4K boxset for Phase One and Two before Avengers 4 release? Because I want to enjoy them on 4K bluray before watching Avengers 4.

Yep. I need consistency. Either all steelbooks or all normal cases. Hurts my eyes to look at it if it’s a mix.

Those were false alarms on Zavvi's part. They're actually regular blu-rays, and 40 pounds instead of 30. I think Disney will make us play the waiting game, don't think they'll even release Ant Man soon.

Yeah I don't mind as long as I get them SOON in 4K so I can enjoy them in the best possible way at home. Steelbooks are hard to collect because they always sell out quickly and once you miss one or two in a collection, it becomes extremely difficult to get more. Especially considering in Australia you can't even get steelbooks with some of the releases.

Honestly? Don't count on it. Disney knows people will buy these individually anyway, so I doubt they'll be selling it in a 'conventional' boxset. The best I'd hope for would be something like those ridiculously OTT Amazon exclusive boxsets.

unless they are waiting to release it with avengers 4. I could see that as there are already plans to release the iron man trilogy and the captain america trilogy in 4K next (I don't have any concrete evidence of this but a friends of mine whose been right pretty much every time says it's coming)
