Default Sony V4100 vs W4100?

I have a 40-V4100 right now, and I will be taking it back today, cause the backlight went out on me this morning, and I have only had it 3 days!

But I ask ya'll should I upgrade to the 40-W4100, is it really worth the extra $500? And what do you really get for the extra money? Only thing I see is that the W4100 has the 120Hz. Is the worth $500? Or should I just change it out for the same one?

Circuit City down here also has the Samsung LN46A750 for $1699.99 right now, and the Sony KDL 40-W4100 for 1599.99. So what should I do?

I love my KDL40W4100! The 120hz makes my Blu Ray's look incredible with the calibration I have done with my LCD. Dude look up KDL40W4100 from Amazon.com. I got mine for $1100.00 SHIPPED during xmas... Don't get ripped off!

Can you let me know what your settings are? So if I do get it, I can set it up right out the box

You will like the W series since its equal to the Z series and one step below the XBR series. Plus you'll be saving over a $1000 Bucks instead of spending that extra money to get a XBR! Order it from Amazon, I guarantee you will save at least $200-$300 bucks from what the store charges which you can spend on a shiny nice new Sony BDP-350 to go with it

My Calibration settings for KDL40W4100:

You may want to tone down the Contrast about 5 clicks or so as it may be a bit too bright. It will just depend on the lighting of your room. I have my theather set up in my basement so its a bit dark down there...

I would go with the W series. Thats what I am gonna do. I am selling my HD, deal was finalized today, and getting either the 52 inch or 46 OR I am gonna pick up a Samsung. Havent really made up my mind yet on that last one. The only reason? I got bit by the 120hz bug which my HD dont have . I say go with the W series.

120hz FTW! I love it when my friends come over and of course some of them have the LCD w/Blu-Ray setup and having them say wow how come my LCD and Blu-Ray doesn't look like yours brings a warm feeling to my tummy

Its all in the 120hz I tell them! lol

Hey bro, I got the W4100 and I just love it! And I ended up getting it for $1,099. Circuit City is closing the doors, and they had it on sale.

Good deal I think.

I'd say get the z series... it has a 10 bit processor vs. the w's 8 bit processor. Slighly better color, I guess it's not a huge deal but I personally would take the z
