Default SW Episode I 10th Anniversary?

Hey everyone, this is my first post, I have been blu for about a year now and have been on the site for about that long also.

This is just a thought that I had, not a rumor that I read or heard. The Matrix is coming out in as a 10th anniversary edition soon and I was thinking that Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace is also going to be ten years old this May. Would anyone be interested in or buy a special 10th anniversary of Episode I on blu. Just by it’s self without the other 5 movies.

I think I would buy it because 1. It would be the first true Star Wars movie out on blu (not counting the clone wars cartoon) 2. It’s Star Wars and might show George Lucas that there are enough players out there that he would turn a profit. Plus he would be able to pack it again in another set down the road when he does end up releasing the movies.

as that movie was the weak link in the 6 in most people's minds, I'd say it wouldn't do insanely well just because people would want to wait for the rest as a set.....i expect plenty of people would at least rent it to get an idea of how it would look though.

I'd buy it for sure as long as they included all the updated things they are supposed to be doing to it such as adding in cgi yoda.

Yes they would have to give us the updated one as a selling point. I really can't wait to own a version with the much better looking Yoda.

You must be my opposite. I wouldn't touch these with a ten foot lightsaber cause Luc@ss keeps changing stuff in it.

I could see them releaseing them all in one box set first. If they did release a 10th anniversary of Ep. I then they would just make more money that way. It would do much better then the Clone Wars Blu that came out last year I think. I saw the movie in theaters but didn't buy it. Ep. I I would buy.

I doubt we'll see anything for the 10th anniversary. Most of us are anticipating a box set. However, alot only want the original trilogy on blu.

I would buy EPI on blu if it came out separately; but, only if it had lossless audio. Like most, though, I would prefer a 1-6 Saga boxset.

The "Jake Lloyd was never heard from again" Edition?

I'd have to see what changes Lucas made to it before considering buying.

i'd have to wait for the boxset. i hate double dipping on movies and refuse to do it when i know a $100+ boxset is eventually coming.

now, if there was confirmation of each movie being release individually and no box set (yeah right), then i'd buy it by itself, but that'st he only way i'd but it by itself.

I'd buy it in heart beat, changes or no. The changes never really bothered me as they've been cosmetic and non-plot related for the most part (yes, there's a few changes I didn't care for). I love Star Wars regardless of what form it takes.

Personally, I'd like to see the "Now with 50% less Jar Jar" edition of Episode I. They could easily cut out most (but admittedly not all) of his nonsense without affecting the plot. Or at the very least, re-dub his voice to be less grating and annoying. Oh, to dream!

Dare to dream indeed! I absolutely hated Jar Jar Binks. Way more so than Jake Lloyd. I always thought they should've given the Gungans an alien dialect with subtitles.

Whoa where does the time go. It seems amazing to me that it's already been 10 years since Star Wars EP1 was released.

I would buy any and all Star Wars movies on Blu-ray. I also like the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat...the fight with Darth Maul at the end is enough to make the movie. (I would also love to see that "now with 50% less JarJar sticker on the front of the movie as well)

I would only buy the first 3(ep. 4, 5, and 6). I didn't like the prequels, I especially didn't like episode one which was the only one of the prequels that I saw in the theater. Man did that one suck, walked out of the theater severely disappointed and refused to go see the other two at the theater.
