Good news that Notorious is coming to Criterion bluray.

But I don't see how the above sketch relates to the film.

If it turns out to be the 2009 film, I may boycott the company.

No hesitation to triple dip on this one if it is the 1946 film.

I wonder if it would have been clearer if the sketch was a side-view that matches Hitchcock's outlined profile. But then maybe it'd be too obvious.

I never could get myself to really enjoy and appreciate this film, but I might cave on it anyway just to own more Hitchcock BDs. Maybe it'll click on the next watch.

One of my top 5 Hitchcock films! Assuming that Criterion improves upon the OOP MGM the way they did with Rebecca, this will be stunning!

Notorious, Spellbound, and Rebecca all received 4K restorations from MGM.

It's meant to convey Cary Grant in this scene:

Triple? Pfffft. Amateur.

This would be a quadruple dip after Anchor Bay & Criterion DVD's and MGM Blu.

In related news, I may need help.

The definition of day one. I’ll never forget when I first saw this. Was 12 and I watched it on a 32’ 4:3 tv on vhs. When the last 15 mins started I had moved so close to the tv I could almost touch it with my face. I was in such suspense and needed to know what was going to happen next that I moved so close to the screen so I could get the images quicker. Easily one of my favorite and most memorable movie experiences.

Excellent news!! Can't wait to replace my MGM disc of this, and especially Spellbound, once they release that, since the MGM BD of that film has multiple instances of missing frames, causing audio jumps.

I didn't want to revel my true problem.

I also own the criterion Laser Disc, DVD, MGM Bluray, and an Import DVD with words on the packaging I can't read.

So this would be a 5th dip, as I won't count the vhs I no longer have. Or the Premiere Collection I sold before opening after all the defective set reports....if I counted those I'd be in the 7th dip range, which I may only equal with my Rebecca collection.

I never bought the anchor bay release, though I did rent it at blockbuster, by the time I wanted to buy it the superior Criterion was in my hands.
