Default It's rumor time: PSP2, Potter Lego, Motorstorm PSP, More

http://playstationgameruk.wordpress....eil-mmo-at-e3/

In this months issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK there are some very interesting rumors in the Insider Whispers section. Hit the Jump to see what they are:

» EA is holding an auction in which NFL players can bid to be on the front cover of Madden 2010
» Developers are already working on PSP2 games which is tentatively scheduled for released in 2010
» Tetsuya Mizuguchi is looking to make a sequel to REZ
» Square Enix will unveil a ‘Different from FF’ MMO at E3
» A PSP version of Motorstorm is in the works and may release this year
» Monolith is already working on F.E.A.R 3
» Lego Harry Potter is on the way

i swear motorstorm psp was confirmed, or am i confusing that with a previous rumor i posted?

fear 3 you say?

» Developers are already working on PSP2 games which is tentatively scheduled for released in 2010 toss up. unless they are pretty far in development of the psp2 so they know exactly how to make the games
» Square Enix will unveil a ‘Different from FF’ MMO at E3 yawn. maybe huge news before, but with the way SE has been acting, im drastically losing interest in them
» A PSP version of Motorstorm is in the works and may release this year great for psp owners, but not gonna save the psp by itself. however, if an LBP PSP game comes along, as well as some other PS3 hits (killzone, MGS, for example) then this could be the start of something huge
» Monolith is already working on F.E.A.R 3 no doubt on this one (for me)
» Lego Harry Potter is on the way wouldnt surprise me

Motorstorm PSP would be great. Its nice to see Sony expanding PS3 series onto the PSP. Im super stoked for Retribution.

I hope the lego Potter is a whole lot better than the Star Wars games.

Hmm that leaves me suspecting you're prolly not going to be one for the Lego-genre games.

LBP for PSP would be pretty cool, but being able to actually SEE the tiny items in a pop-it menu might be hard on a PSP, not to mention all the subtle nuances and *ahem* quirks of Create mode. If the PSP version has story mode and the ability to play user-created levels, but not actually create levels via PSP that would be cool beans.
As it is, many creators don't understand how to use the 3 depth layers and 4 thin layers in LBP's "2.5D" world. I can imagine the bugs that would pop up in levels made on a PSP.

But Lego Harry Potter, woohoo!!!

What the... NFL players are to pay EA to grace the cover of the next Madden? Didn't it used to be the other way around?
» Developers are already working on PSP2 games which is tentatively scheduled for released in 2010
If we don't see any evidence of this come E3 '09 or at TGS '09 (Japan's E3) then I doubt this is true. I have a feeling we won't be seeing the PSP2 anytime soon because the PSP is still selling well in JP. Also Sony is stepping up online distribution of PSP titles through the Playstation Store this year as well. But on the other hand, the lack of a second analog nub plus the rampant piracy plaguing the PSP may trump all. So I actually don't know what to believe now the more thought I put into it.
» Tetsuya Mizuguchi is looking to make a sequel to REZ
He's aleady said he'd be interested in doing a sequel to Rez but that it probably won't be called Rez unless Sega publishes it (they hold the license, IIRC).
» Square Enix will unveil a ‘Different from FF’ MMO at E3
Makes sense. SE has already stated they are making another MMO that is not FF.
» A PSP version of Motorstorm is in the works and may release this year
If true, this also leaves me questioning the prior "rumor" about PSP2 hitting next year. IMO, It would make more sense to put a title like Motorstorm on the PSP's successor.
» Monolith is already working on F.E.A.R 3
Talk about counting the chickens before they've hatched. Don't get me wrong. I liked the original F.E.A.R. and hope the sequel does well but I haven't seen enough hype built around the game to think a sequel was already in the cards.
» Lego Harry Potter is on the way
I'd hit that. I loved all of the previous Lego games (SW, Batman and Indy).

i doubt we'd hear anything about psp2 this year, so there's no reason to think its no true. there are just too many rumors about it for it to not be real at this point imo.

and motorstorm makes perfect sense..still gotta get people to buy the psp..its gonna be on sale for awhile yet
