Default PSP Go or PSP 3000 for first time buyer?

I can get both of these for the same price tomorrow (boxing day in Canada), plus I don't care that a lot of the older PSP games aren't available for download for the PSP Go. Right now I'm basically looking at downloading the Resident Evil games and Final Fantasy games from the PSX as well as God of War: CoO. I just want to know in terms of gameplay and design which do you prefer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PSP 3000 has bad interlacing artifacts that Sony considers "normal".

PSP 3000, because that way you won't get ripped off.

I went with a go.

But...,... I realize that the older systems can be loaded with custom firmware that brings many enhancements. With custom FW you can play more media types and manage them differently and use your PSP in ways the original FW can't. With that in mind... the older PSP may be funner.

The Go is great though... I love it.

psp 3000,

PSPGO is Sony's solution to stopping pirated and hacked PSP's(homebrews), they are no fun

I love my go. I never thought I'd love not having to mess with discs this much. But that doesn't go with every media...I still prefer BD to anything.

A PSPGO for sure. Even though the screen is slightly smaller than the 3000, it's that much sharper with deeper blacks and more vibrant colours. Games just look better on it.

Rumours are surfacing of the new PSP2 being released late 2010 with UMD support, so you might as well get yourself a GO to keep you going till then.
