11 years since I joined this site

. Almost 30k posts to my credit/discredit

. It’s been a lot of fun and has lead to a huge increase in my movie library. More important, I have some great friends that I met in this community.

Always wanted to make a thread on my anniversary day and this year I remembered

I've been here off and on for half that time.

But congrats, you have been awesome and a credit to this site. Hopefully you'll stick around a bit longer too.

...it’s been, mostly, a lot of fun. Going on nine years as a moderator as well...that has aged me a few extra days

Still have not seen it, but I did buy it. I have been remodeling my house for the last month and that has left little time to watch movies. No, I am not doing the actual work myself...but it’s crazy, stressful, and exhausting anyways.

Dealing with strangers in the house, juggling dogs, work schedules and random people knocking on the door sounds like blast to me.

So how does one get to be a moderator, anyway? Does the site admin approach you and ask if you're interested? Do you have to have a certain number of posts? Just curious. I've been on here for only 6 years but have 11,000+ posts. Maybe I spend WAY too much time around here

Somebody recommended me, not sure who. Probably Deciazulado (Site Manager) or pro-b...they both have grown to become very dear friends of mine
