Anyone Having Problems With Skipping Discs? - Blu-ray Forum

ANYONE HERE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SKIPPING DISCS?

we have 2 samsung 1500's with the new 2.3 firmware, bought WALL-E, and it skips several times throughout the film.

we also get this in "the 40 year old virgin", and "walk hard" so far
also "casino" only started playing at all after firmware but is extremely slow to load (about 4 minutes from boot to play menu)

it's hard to judge what to do because if we keep returning the disc, it may turn out to be firmware, but if we keep waiting for new firmware, it will be too late to return the discs.

Haven't had an issue with skipping. BUT as far as firmware is concerned. Just get a PS3 then you won't have those problems. My slowest load time was about 7-10 seconds.

On my copy of The Shining, there is a point in the film where the disc starts to skip, and then it shut off. I was able to fast forward through the issue nad finish it, but I am not sure what the problem was. I haven't had any other issues with Blu-Rays.

Anyone have any idea what issue could have been?

I've heard about the skipping on wall-E with PS3 as well.
generally the 1500 is a great player, boot times are almost instant.

i meant that the loading times were long not the boot times.

it would be good to hear from other people with the same movies and same player.
