did a search and could not find anything about this release. just wanted to see what everybody thinks about the movie.

THe Reader is a great film full of great performances that I will be adding to my Blu-ray library for sure.

I think the ending could have been better. I wouldnt buy it although it is Oscar-worthy for Kate Winslet.

It's a Weinstein movie. They can't do anything right when it come's to Blu-ray. It is coming April 28, while the DVD is coming April 14.

I rented "The Reader" tonight from blockbuster...

PQ I thought was very good, no unitentional grain, very clear...the colors I thought matched the tone of the film...4/5

SQ being Dobly True HD was good being that the movie is heavy in dialog and characther driven, its not somthing to test or show off your sound system to friends..lol......3/5

As for the movie, I thought it was very well done and excellent. Acting was top notch through out esp from Winslet (Oscar) and the young lead David Kross who plays her 16 year old lover. Its a very talky movie so if you dont like dialog, stay away. The movie flashes back and forth from 1958 to 1976 to 1988 to 1995 being told through the eyes of Kross's character. Its utlimatily a love story with a nazi. I dont want to give anything away really so I wont describe more. Its a very deep and emotional movie and highly recommeneded.

This completes 3 out of 5 best picture nominees that I have watched (the other two: SLumdog and Milk) 2 to go (Frost/Nixon and Button). Best Overall So Far: MILK

the reader is an excellent blu and movie.
Milk is the best of those 5, with Frost/Nixon & The Reader right behind.

Although you should also watch "The Wrestler" & "Doubt".
