I was really impressed with Emma Roberts in Nancy Drew... but there's so many dogs. And it's about dogs. I'm not a dog hater but I don't like them much either <.<.

Maybe someone can convince me it's worth seeing?

I had the opportunity to watch this movie twice in the theatres for advanced screenings because I worked the screenings and I got paid to see the movie...I will honestly rather kill myself than to watch this movie one more time. Yah, it's that bad. Unless you are 4 year sold, STAY AWAYYYYY!

Yeah, brother took my little nieces to see it and said they loved it. Probably not my cup of tea, but good for the younguns.

Not necessarily the case that because we are older we are not suppose to like them. Theres been a lot of cases where kid movies pick up higher than anything thats being derived to adults, yet only those kid movies with brains such as Wall-E or The Sandlot (as Live action). Not crap like this.

That's like saying you're to old for Pinocchio or something...

If something is good age is irrelevant.

Comparing a 70 year old classic and a forgettable dog movie is stretching it, but I see your point.

Well they both have a lot of animals... <.<

I think I'll rent it just because my expectations are so low it can't lose.

So were supposed to love every single childrens movie? Do you like a crap fest like Tales of Despereux? It was GOD awful. But I enjoy movies like Wall E or the Sandlot.

There are movies that are directed to MOSTLY children like this movie. Others like Wall E and other pixar movies, are made to be loved by everyone. And assuming the numbers in your name are your age, 20, then you , like me grew up on the Sandlot. Thats most of the reason why I still love it. If I saw it for the first time at age 21, then I would likely hate it.

I am in my early 30s I enjoy movies that the twenties crowd doesnt. Thats what makes it great, Theres enough for everyone out there to enjoy. I had to buy those classic DVDs like Dukes of hazzard, Hardcastle and MCormick, Fall Guy,etc and the next generation gap doesnt get my obssession( I dont remember many movies other than ET, Batteries not Included, Back to the Future) We lived rurally as a kid and all we had was antenna(4-5 channels)

Movies like Cars, Wall•E are meant for adults as well as kids as there is the adult humor that kids dont get but we do. I havent seen Hotel for Dogs so I cant comment there.

I guess the movies/shows have more sentimental value than anything

Just curious. How can you have a screenshot from a Miley Cyrus CGI movie and complain about Tale of Desperaux? That's like having Steven Seagal as your avatar and complaining Tony Jaa can't fight.

Ya - I really wish they'd try and tie in a Nancy Drew Blu-ray release with one of her new movies. Nancy Drew was a fun little movie.

Most of the characters we're really bad (or maybe it was the actors) but Emma did the role good enough that it I wish it could have been a show or something. Oh well =/.

I don't see how Bolt is the same as Tale of Desperaux. I also don't think the guy on here named Bolt cares that much about Miley but who knows.

Post Hotel For Dogs

this is a good buy for the kiddies.
i rented it, and watched this yesterday on blu-ray and it was a cheesy, silly time.
with a few good moments here and there but my niece loved it, of course.

as for the blu itself, I watched it on my brothers 720p, but the image was pretty clear and I thought the colors stood out pretty modestly. the audio I felt was overpowered by soudntrack a bit.

I read the site review on this and I do like Cheadle and Roberts so if I have the money, I'll grab this along with Da Vinci Code and Bride Wars.
