Hell, I still have my screener tape of Exorcist III, complete with a curious intro featuring a Brummie telling potential purchasers about the impact of the original movie and how it will drive interest in the new film. It, too, comes in a "Not For Sale" box.

No slips on any of the copies of 3D version in HMV in Norwich.
Tried one of the big Tesco's in the city & their copies had slips. No big sleeve edition though, so it looks like the end of that for those who collect them.

The title is embossed, but certainly isn't as nice as some of the others. Still happy to have one though.

Anybody's 4k copy skip a few seconds when Gamora is talking about Thanos and Thor is eating soup from the bowl? Only noticed on the 4k copy so far. Yet to try 3d and 2d blu ray

My 3D copy from Amazon (with slip) arrived today.

I will say this though, my copy was £19.99 at the time of order and it's on the website for £18 now, but apparently Amazon won't be offering a price difference refund according to the customer service person I was just talking too. Not gonna argue over £1.99 but not what I'm used to from Amazon's service, which is usually much better about this kind of thing.

You're right. I did run my fingers over the cover to check for embossing, but didn't feel anything. Not sure if I should be worried ...

I advise you to push back. Price promise includes day of release. Quote their own guarantee and politely point this out.

This is taken from Amazon's own help pages:

Quote:
About the Pre-Order Price Guarantee

Amazon.co.uk's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and dispatched or electronically fulfilled.

Whenever you pre-order an item eligible for our Pre-order Price Guarantee, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you place your order up to and including the end of the day of the release date.
You ARE entitled to the lower price as you ordered when it was more than it is now, and today is the release date.

It may be they refund you automatically, but I would email to make sure.

I've done the same. I couldn't find a copy without the slip, but this is day one I suppose.

Yeah that's what I thought and they've done it in the past no problem, so thought it was odd. Will try again, thanks

My copy from Amazon is still with Royal Mail apparently. Won’t do anything until Thursday if it’s a no show.

Why the rush to force the price refund that's going to happen automatically? Give the system a chance to do it's job and if it's not functioning by Friday, then push the issue. It's not even the end of release day yet so the price point isn't even finalized.

Where a physical item has a stated release date, if your order enters the dispatch process before that date and the price of the item drops below the price you were charged between the date of dispatch and the end of the day of the release date, we'll automatically refund to your payment card the difference between the price you were charged and the lower price

That Sainsbury's Groot keyring is a nice extra. Shame my store ran out of them before the end of the first ****ing day! Awesome!

This happened to me once with a Blu-ray pre-order and the CS rep said he can't adjust the price and my best option is to return and re-order for the lower price!

I thanked him and sent an email stating this returning and re-ordering is a big hassle for getting Amazon's promised pre-order price guarantee. Got the difference refunded within few hours with an apology.

Why does everybody want the refund now rather than in 2-3 days when it's going happen automatically?
Seems like an awful lot of work when none is necessary until at least Friday

I got my refund of £1.99 this morning, with email to confirm it.

I guess the customer service person I spoke to on the chat service last night was having a bad day or something, because he was really sure I wouldn't be getting a refund.

I got my 3D copy from Morrisons with a slipcase. So if you want a slipcase you can try there.

Just received my 3D blu ray from Zoom. No slipcover sadly, which is a first from them. Has anyone tried asking for a slipcover replacement from Zoom before? Just wondering if its worth a try!

Is there a reason out there why some of the HMV stores weren't selling it with the slip. Seems a tad weird for a big store like that to randomly do it?

I follow several HMV's on Instagram and they were all posting pics of their standees of Avengers Infinity War stock. The Birmingham one (the one I go to on my way home from work) had slips for every one of their 3D copies. The Norwich and Guilford HMV had no slips for all their 3D copies on display.

It seems to be pretty random to be honest.

If it's any help, I noticed my local Tesco had regular and 3D versions all in slips.
