Default Should I import Batman and Batman Returns or should I buy the Anthology set?

Ok so I am not sure what to do. I have never imported movies before and i am wondering if I should import Batman & Batman Returns or wait for the Anthology set.

One of my main concerns is region coding (which i dont know if it is locked or not on these movies)

and also quality> Will it be better quality for the U.S. release or will it be the same thing

Please let me know what i should do. I dont completely hate Batman Forever but I dont know how much more it will cost me to get the anthology set opposed to importing them.

Please let me know

thanks,
jim

Just for the facts, since I can't help you make that decision:

- The BDs are region free
- The quality will most probably be identical as Warner will surely be using the same exact transfers if not the same exact discs

So if you're a completist or don't mind the other 2 movies, wait for the Anthology; if you're just a fan of the Burton movies, import them from the UK.

It can be, but the two first Batman movies are £12,98 on Amazon.co.uk, which is really cheap. So in this case, it's worth it.

I'd wait for the Anthology as well, but I'm a completist and I like Batman Forever so...

Its your choice..

I imported them Batman and Batman returns .... if you like all 4 movies then wait, but i only like the first 2. They are reasonably priced, came to around $26 each including shipping and arrived in 3 days
all are region free, PQ/AQ are super, easier the best catalog BD i have watched

I've watched batman 1989 10 times already and my son loves it

Are they releasing them by themselves here or just as a set... personally I might just go with the first two.... I wasnt a fan of all the flashy stuff in Part 3 and 4....

I plan on buying the set, enjoying the first two, and using the S#!+maker films as a drinking game.

I echo this completely. I imported 1,2. I'd even consider going back for 3...but I'd never own 4.

you can always buy the set and sell forever and batman and robin. or just wait for them to be released individually, which they unquestionably will at some point.

Importing from a place like Amazon.co.uk is much easier than most realize. If you wanted the movies now and you really do not want the later sequels, I would get them from there. Someone should really write a step-by-step guide for importing Blu-rays and make it a sticky. Too many people seem frightened by a relatively simple process.

great idea, especially if it also listed links to (or provided info regarding) region code information and currency converters.

HA, i haven't imported a single movie so i wouldn't be the greatest resource (unless you were referring to someone else...). someone who has imported a lot and knows the ins and outs would probably be the best choice. thanks for the props tho

Well I've imported from various websites and stuff, so I wouldn't mind giving a few ideas. But I'm guessing some people are way better experts than I am.

I could give it a go if you like, but no guarantees.

Oh and my main problem would simply be coherent presentation, that's all. :P

I don't quite follow you, what seems to be the problem?

I imported the first 2 films. No way I'm being forced to buy the last 2 films.

The Batman blus I see on amazon.uk are all in PAL format.....did not think we could play those in North America. Are you suggesting we can play those in a Sony BDP S350 and view on a Kuro HDTV? Thank you in advance.

I also imported the first two only. I will not pay money for anything that includes Schumacher's garbage.
