I’m sure it will play a part in the 3rd movie tervorrow told bayona to make sure specific things made it into the film that directly link to the 3rd moviie

We're supposed to care because
[Show spoiler]they aren't just cloning dinosaurs now they're also cloning humans!
That's a big deal and big reveal.

In that case it's even more evidence of the movie's overall failure. The big selling point is
[Show spoiler]that they can clone humans, but it's built up as a big reveal of who this random girl is.

Just wait until you see the human/dinosaur hybrids...which was Spielberg's original idea after JP III. My guess is that's where we're going in Jurassic World III.

That wasn't the thing. It was an Indominous scaled down to Raptor size. Not the fact that it had Raptor DNA. The Raptor DNA was why they needed Blue to socialize it.

Such a blah cover, way too much teal. Glad I locked in my Target exclusive. It's now listed as preparing for shipment so hopefully I get it near release day.

But thanks for posting as always, tyrok.

96 video score translates to a 5 star video score for the BD but only 4 1/2 for the UHD. He also docks a half star from overall UHD score compared to the BD (a whole star if you look at the score on the site's home screen). Same reviewer of both discs.

I only mention all this because it's not a great advertisement for the format when both releases are listed next to one another on a site's home page and the BD scores a full star higher than the UHD. It would be understandable if the UHD was botched in some way but that doesn't seem to be the case according to the text of his review.

And that's the nail on the head right there: it's just so hackneyed, so tired, so incredibly predictable. We already had "evil corporation wants to exploit the animals" 20 years ago in TLW, and as much as I've ragged on that film I've gained a new appreciation for it recently, and not just because FK is a far trashier version of it. We're actually getting schtick like "hero runs away in slow motion while explosion goes off behind them" only now applied to the 'good' dinosaurs like Blue, if the filmmakers thought they were being clever by doing that then they're not, it's so tacky the movie feels like a parody at times. Old man Cromwell hamming it up a treat doesn't help.

Another thing that makes it feel like a soulless cash-in is the retconned story (yet another way it feels like a daft Transformers flick), bringing in Hammond's partner whom we never had any inkling about whatsoever for the last 25 years and telling us that the mansion was actually the place where all the dinos were made, despite Lost World already retconning the original film by saying that Site B was the 'factory floor'. Just...ugh.

After avoiding the spoilers but seeing people obliquely referring to something or other genetics-related I was fully expecting them to go there in this flick, and what do I get? Some lame-ola bit about a
[Show spoiler]cloned daughter which I clocked very early on, it amazes me when filmmakers think that they're actually being clever with reveals like that (see also: the Walter/David switcheroo in Alien:Conveniant) but it's just so obvious.

If anything, Fallen Kingdom is The Lost World but done better and way more exciting.
