It's the first time, a small studio that haven't released any 4K before now has the right to it in UK. It's been out since forever in most of the rest of Europe.

...and they're only finally releasing it in the UK because Fox has taken over their distribution, though it's odd that they didn't just do it at the same time as the BD. If eOne were still going it alone there'd be no chance of getting this in 4K in the UK, though any fan of this movie would've shirley imported the Euro Sony disc by now.

Yep, in fact it's one of only a handful of 4K discs that I broke my £15 limit to get. Paid £22 on WOWHD I think and I don't regret it.

I mean I kind of want to pick it up, just to support local releases, but I already own the US release and there's a slew of content already on my purchase list.

Bought it on wow for £25 and nor do I regret it.

I have the US Paramount release and didn't look much into the difference between it and the Sony disc; IIRC the Sony disc had a greener look to some scenes and I didn't like it.

I've been after this movie on 4K for quite some time. How does it compare to the USA 4K disc? eOne don't exactly have the best track record. Anyone here own the disc and care to comment?
