If there are sudden spikes etc... I'd say "Yes" based on the frequency.... ONLY if you have the volume up too high.....

I tried my hand at COD 4 for a short period of time.... and never had a head-set thing, but always turned it on, because sometimes people on my team would give info about locations etc... or whatever, and I noticed the terrible noise you were talking about quite frequently..... so my solution was to just keep the volume much lower than I normally would have.

you would mute people for telling you the locations of the enemies?? Thats the point of the headset, to work as a team....

i'd say 90% of headset users aren't giving any good key info, theyre just saying what htye feel like, so i feel free to mute them..

Yup, I mute people all the time, even with my headset on (it's always on). I hate it when ppl are blasting their music, I'm sorry but I don't want to have your dog s%^t music as a friggen sound track. I also don't care that you are failing in school, how you yelled at your parents today, the annoying screaming every time you get shot. I also hate the static sound, the screeching beeping sound, etc coming from someone's dollar store headpiece.

So in summary, if you are spoken for none of the above, I won't mute you
