..Zavvi have also despatched the 4K + Blu-ray Collector's Edition of The Fog on the 25th...in this case i'm glad I ordered this and Night of the Demon from them..they despatch very quickly..

That's lovely looking but way too damn thick. I'm pondering storing these in normal cases with the Scream Factory covers. I'd rather sell them for a few pennies though. Decisions decisions.

I might put them with my Arrow limited editions on top of my shelves. That makes some sense.

Yeah they are nice enough to display or keep separate. I hope they are as nice as the Deer Hunter set. I’ll have a long wait till Christmas.

Collectors edition, or Steelbook? I love the art work for the steelbook as it coincides with the look and feel of the movie. But I want all the goodies offered in the Collectors edition. In a perfect world all those goodies are offered in the steelbook.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a strobing-like effect on the blu-ray feature disc? It's more noticeable during the first three or four chapters of the disc.

It's not just on the film, but across the entire picture - black widescreen bars as well, which seems to indicate it might be a disc fault.

I left the menu sitting with the TV spot option highlighted. After a minute, a feature called "The Fog: Behind The Effects For The Teaser Trailer." started playing automatically. This is on the extras BD.

Hi Scott, I just played the first 10 minutes of the BD and did the same with the UHD in a pitch black room and spotted no flickering/strobing in either the main picture or in the black bars.

Mine did the same when “Outtakes” was highlighted - though I’m pretty sure the teaser itself hasn’t made its way onto the disc!

Hmmm. They're like strobing lines that slash from bottom left to top right. I've tried the Extras disc and that seems fine. Can't try the UHD as I don't have a 4K player at the moment.

I take it the menus are supposed to play to complete silence? They show clips from the film but there's no sound.

I might try getting a replacement, just in case it's my copy.
