I can confirm that as I own one of them myself, received my copy earlier this week. Just finished watching it and there were NO comic strip panel style scene transitions in sight whatsoever, no ancient Roman battle referring comic strip intro and in the end they do keep walking further instead of a comic strip freeze frame.

And we're of course talking about the blu-ray disc, right? Not just the DVD? Just want to make sure.

Both blu and dvd disc feature the very same version, which starts with the Wonder Wheel image instead of the ancient Roman battle reference seen in director's cut. Dvd is 89:06 which indeed turns into 92:54 on 1080p blu.

i really hope paramount do a theatrical cut bluray(or 4k) next year, and add some new extras, original audio etc. maybe include the directors cut as a second disc for completeness

Not sure what’s going on. My delivery has been moved up 3 times, but this is currently in stock again and my order hasn’t shipped. Argh.

This is also region free, or at least region A & B. And is indeed the theatrical cut.

I just ordered myself, and chose the gift box option for 2.99 euros.

Mine arrived today. Just packaged in a white padded envelope, but surprisingly in mint condition. Looking forward to checking it out. I also (finally) got around to importing As Good As It Gets which they were selling for just under 6 Euros.

Just placed an order for Cover A. Though I've know about this movie for years now, I didn't actually sit down and watch it for the first time until a couple of months ago. (HD streamed Theatrical cut)

Anyways, I can't stop thinking about it. I really, really enjoyed it but I didn't expect it to 'seep' so deeply into me. Who knows if we'll get any US Theatrical Cut for the anniversary, but I decided I didn't really want to wait and see. The Mediabook looks great. Merry Christmas to me, I guess.

Paramount commemorates "anniversary" releases by repackaging the exact same discs they released 10 years prior.

If anyone wants the theatrical cut in physical media form they should splurge for this release. Worth every penny if you're a fan!

Just fired this one up. I'm not sure if it's been brought up, but it seems the 5.1 and 2.0 track has been mixed up on the menu. I selected 5.1 but my receiver switched to Pro Logic II. I switched to the 2.0 and it shows 5.1. Just something for everyone to check out just in case

Caved in and bought Hills revisionist director's cut. I couldn't help it considering how good the artwork was and the fact that Paramount may not release the original anytime soon. At least if Paramount do the original cut and don't include the director's cut I have both at least. Lucky for me I watch the original version as I wouldn't want to watch this one first

So probably no chance they do a standard release of this right? That price hurts and I hate Digibooks.

I don’t so much mind a digibook, but if it’s not in English, it’s not much use to me .

I have the digibook version from Germany and the Blu Ray is the theatrical version (I’ve put this disc in my Zavvi steelbook as my digibook has a cracked inlay)
