Man this thread is harsh on NEW GLADIATORS. 😂

I promise these are my actual rankings and not a contrarian hot take:
1. Zombie 3
2. The Beyond
3. Conquest
4. Zombie
5. New Gladiators
6. Contraband
7. City of the Living Dead

(I know everyone probably stopped taking me seriously at #1 but Zombie 3 is just so entertaining)

I've seen just about all of his films from 'One On Top Of The Other" onward, except for White Fang films, Le Pretora, and Dracula in the Provinces. I don't feel like making a list. His worst are those haunted house made for TV films of the late 80s.

AGREE on zombi 3. I’d go so far as to say it’s one of my favorite zombie movies period. It’s just so off the wall insane.

I’ve seen far fewer Fulci than I’d realized.

1. House by the Cemetery
2. Zombi 3
3. The Beyond
4. Zombie
5. City of the Living Dead

I’m pretty sure that’s all I’ve seen of his.

Yep. Definitely. Lizard in a Woman's Skin is close, though.

3)Zombi Flesh Eaters 9.0/10
4)A Lizard in Woman's Skin 9.0/10
All the Fulci films I like are in your great films list. The few others I've seen I would not care to see again. Even The Beyond is for me remarkable for its beginning and apocalyptic end, a lot of the in-between is filler material.

Yes, it looks like a nice upgrade. Bye-bye Arrow release. Hardly wait to see it in motion

I’m keeping the Arrow for the extras, particularly the wonderful Thrower/Jones commentary, which is one of the best I’ve ever heard. I definitely will rewatch that. This one has the 500th from Troy Howarth at least, unlike most of them, this actually falls into a subject he’s an expert on.

I just ordered the Splinter version from DDD, we’ll see if it gets fulfilled. I’ve had a lot of orders from them over the years get delayed and then cancelled for stock reasons.

My Splinter cover just shipped from Deep Discount! Was not expecting a pre-release day ship from them - I was also expecting out of stock delay that possibly turns into cancellation.

Mine also shipped from DD, glad I don’t have to worry about an unexpected cancellation from them now.

Wow, this transfer is stunning. The grain, the colors, the contrast - all amazing. Incredibly rich, full, and textured. I can’t imagine this possibly looking better in 1080p. Stellar work by BU here.

Never seen this movie, though... should I blind buy this release?

Depends on your age and how you view similar films. If you're in your 20's and appreciate films like this as entertainment and not something to mock while trashed with your buddies then, yes, I recommend a blind buy. A lot of people grew up watching movies like this so part of it is nostalgia but I think you need to have had some exposure to the genre.

Eh, i don't think age has much to do with it. I know teenagers with extremely mature views toward film and I know people in their 60s who turn movies off after 10 minutes if they're "boring".

With that said, anyone who likes zombies, gore and horror in general should be safe blind buying this.

I have the Arrow version and I'm tempted to buy this, but what's the likelihood a UHD gets released?
