I would consider upgrading my DVD set if they include the English dub and Italian dub with English subtitles.

Also if they could make a music video of shark vs zombie as an extra, I would easily re-buy it.

Maybe it’s because I found that the few BU releases I own to be underwhelming (except Maniac Cop 2 & 3) that I never picked this up. Will gladly purchase this as well as anything else they decide to redo.

Saw this on video 25 years ago at age 12 and thought it was shocking as hell even that eyeball scene which made me cringe. Great movie! one of my fave zombie films and horror films.

My Arrow release is pretty good but if this is coming from a new scan then I'll approach with optimism.

I saw it at the Eurofest back in 1994, with Fulci in attendance. He introduced a lovely print of the movie, but it was in Italian, leading him to bluntly state:

"You don't need dialogue to understand a film like Zombi 2..."

The Arrow release is very solid. I'm thinking the biggest improvement with a BU 4K remaster will be the colors and contrast. I suspect the framing will be tighter compared to the Arrow as well since James White said in an interview that it was a "luxury" to be able to add more information to the sides that was never visible before.

I hope the emulsion scratch visible during the shark vs. zombie scene on the Arrow will be massaged out too.

Thankfully I only dropped $8 for the Arrow blu-ray, but I want to see screencaps before getting the BU remaster.

I own the Arrow steelbook of this but will gladly double dip if it's a nice remaster. Why not, I've bought this film so many times over the years anyway

With these re-scanned in 4k re-releases becoming more common I really wish these companies would just hold off until they had the resources to release the film on UHD 4K.

Most of these older flims don't need UHD 4k and look great on blu-ray already so why would you need 4k I can see newer films that are digitally mastered but you don't need it with older films.

For one just so I feel better about all the double dipping.

As for UHD not needed... idk man. Watch Blade Runner, Close Encounters or Ghostbusters. Most catalog titles I've seen so far have been a substantial improvement in UHD.

Lots of ifs and buts here, as the Arrow remaster from the OCN is already stunning. They should just licence that and get on with doing something with the Fulci titles that are crying out for a remaster.
