I've seen 300, but I don't think I've seen The Fifth Element. Can't give a good recommendation. With recent sales trends, I'd recommend getting 300 before it sells out in various locations.

The Fifth Element! Easily. 300 is great, and so is the picture, but it's not as "rewatchable."
Really, they could both be called video-game movies. However, Fifth Element is just a blast to sit through. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, and you'll be excited from beginning to end. One of my all time favorites. Edit: Also, if you care about these kinds of things, Fifth Element is probably the better demo material for showing off your system. 300 looks great, but with all the people complaining about grain, you'd better not show it to anyone who does not know better ^^;; |

If you can afford it, go ahead and enjoy yourself with both.

I've owned 'The Fifth Element' on DVD, Blu-ray and now again remastered on Blu-ray. If I had a choice I'd say 'The Fifth Element' but make sure you order the remastered version (check previous links on Amazon). Heck, if I pass it playing on TNT I have to stop and watch it no matter how far along it is. Most times I end up putting in my own version and starting from the beginning.

I'm a bigger fan of 5th Element.
300 was a good movie, and I'm glad I watched it once, but I dont see myself watching it multiple times. Depends though, as I know a lot of people who see it the other way around. So answer: Rent both, and then decide! ![]() |

Fifth Element is one of my all-time favorite films. But be warned that it's a somewhat off-beat film. It's not a straight-up action film. There's a lot of quirky humor and over-the-top acting. If you get it, it's awesome. If you don't get it though, you'll be rolling your eyes a lot.
300 is over-the-top, too, but it's done with absolutely no self-awareness. So it's a lot more serious and straightforward. And it's extremely violent, if you're into that sort of thing. I bought both. ![]() |
