Good movie indeed, its a shame Hollywood is contemplating remaking it here in the U.S.

I was just about to post this, some people have never heard of spoiler tags.

Anywho, Oldboy is great it will stay with you for a couple of hours after seeing it.

Ok I said I didn't like Asian films and that most of the Asian films I've watched are horror. Yet did I ever say I hate Asian films?

Just got done watching it. Good flick! I'm glad I added it to my library.

Does anyone think Ip Man will ever make it to the U.S. on blu?

Thumbs up The Ultimate Revenge Movie!

I have Oldboy and I enjoyed watching it.

It will play games with your mind.

Oooh! What a devious plot of revenge (who's plot?).

Well written and acted.

I don't think it is a remake. I think the U.S. one will be a different movie based on the same comic series....if I'm not mistaken.

Seen it three times. Probably my favorite foreign flick after The Professional.

You specifically said "I just can't stand asian films in general."

I was told that this script is being pursued heavily by Will Smith

I don't own the Oldboy Blu-ray but i do own the Three-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD that i think came out in 2006 that was in a custom tin case.

I remember when i first saw Oldboy it left me speechless and in shock.

This is the one i own :

I sure as hell won't trade my Three-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD since it's discontinued by the studio.

I'm still thinking if i should double dip and buy the Oldboy Blu-ray or just stick with my Three-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD.

BTW,for those of you that liked Oldboy i strongly suggest that you check out the movie Battle Royale if you have not checked it out yet.

It's not out on Blu-ray and is only out on DVD and can only be found on Amazon.com

^^ I own that DVD set myself.

I was absolutely blown away after watching this. My parents (Korean) liked the fact that I owned a Korean flick and wanted to watch it with me (I had never seen it before). They were horrified haha!!

I really like Oldboy but I heard SOOOO much hype about it before I got a chance to see it that it sort of took the sting out of the film. I guess that's my fault for putting off seeing it and allowing that hype to build more and more. Either way, great movie and the only Asian BD I currently own.

Hopefully Battle Royale and Survive Style 5 make their way to BD soon.

'Lady Vengeance' will be released on blu in the UK on May 4th. (Obviously I don't yet know whether it will be all-region though.)

Actually my favourite of the trilogy is 'Sympathy For Mr Vengeance', so I hope that one will follow on blu soon.
