Default Looking for a low, subtle TV stand like this one

I just bought a 50" Pioneer Kuro, and I would like a low-to-the-ground, subtle TV stand similar to this one:

http://www.digitalgypsy.com/vfxlog/a...lasma%20TV.jpg

It should also be preferrably under $300 and available at Best Buy, Target, or a major online retailer.

Thanks.

Yeah, I think Johk has a similar stand, check his HT Gallery out. I think he did get his at Ikea.

All very good choices. i HATE the horrendous TV stands you get at most electronics (or even furniture) stores. They're all ugly. Like this:

WHY would I spend $400 on that thing, especially after buying an expensive, slick new TV? I can stand ugly furniture, but for some reason TV stands seem to be more expensive than tables twice as big (probably because they can hold more weight). Either you get old-looking wood furniture that goes with few home theater systems out there, or you get cheesy black and chrome glass units that have been around since the 80s:

No offense if you have one of these, but it's just that I see so many beautiful TVs and speakers on these forums (most more beautiful than mine) yet most TV stands do nothing to complement them.
These subtle ones posted by others above are actually worthy of my Samsung. Sorry about the rant; continue.

I know this is an older thread, but i had the Ikea LACK stand and it looks great. BUT it started to buckle in the middle after a couple months of holding my 50" plasma which weighs 112lbs. Even though its listed to be able to hold 143lbs, I wouldn't risk it. I had to reinforce it with 2x4's. I got a new stand this past weekend.

I know the Kuro is a little lighter but i would pass on this one...a tv like the Kuro deserves a MUCH better stand!

I have pics of the LACK in my gallery...

Nice looking setup Panos. I've only seen a handful of furniture pieces from Ikea, as there are no Ikea stores around here, and I've never been impressed with the quality of a single piece. I got my stand at a local furniture store (where my wife works). We went with this one because it goes well with our other tables and the rest of the furniture in the room. I personally don't like open ones like skygreenleopard shows a picture of above because it's so hard to get cables out of sight with those.
