I just keep reading (regarding break in) keep the brightness/contrast low. How low is low?
I'll be getting the TV on Thurs, running the break in images (SD card) any time that I'm not watching the TV, but the settings for the break in images are incredibly HIGH [VIVD, contrast 100, brightness 55, etc] and are explicitly stated to be turned off when not using the images (which I totally understand). The problem is, I can't find any EXACT settings for the first 200 hours regarding the "low" contrast and brightness everyone recommends. I don't mean to be annoying, but I really like to have EXACT numbers (ie: put it on THX, with brightness to xX, contrast to XX, etc) so I know I'm not going to F something up. Even without exact settings, what exactly do them mean when they say low? Is watching in THX mode acceptable during these first 200 hours? If not, what would be the best setting (the only one I know is a no-no is vivid). THAAAAANKS! |
