I banked right on this. Unloaded my MGM copy about a year ago guessing CC would pick this title up. Glad I was right.

What a waste. The MGM is perfectly fine, and Lost Highway, The Straight Story, & Elephant Man need 4K scans/remasters and US releases much worse.

Lynch already worked and approved the MGM master, so this is pretty funny.

Maybe, but the post says it was a quick interview, so I assume it was just a closet video.

Another double-dip, but I'm totally cool with that. Such a great movie.

Will double-dip if there's a significant improvement in video quality.

I almost bought the MGM release from the Best Buy $5.99 bin the other day; I'll just watch it on Amazon Prime for now.

Ugh, of course I literally just got the last release of Blue Velvet in the mail two days ago.... Double dip time it seems.

Would only be happy with this if they are doing a set of Lynch films that need blu-ray releases. Otherwise it’s a wasted opportunity considering the current blu-ray is great.

Four different companies, so it isn't like Criterion opted for Blue Velvet over the other three. (I still think that Criterion probably will do Lost Highway)

I recently re-watched the MGM Blu and I still think it looks dang good.

I don’t understand why they haven’t done Lost Highway. It’s with either Universal or MK2 or Lynch himself, all of which they’ve worked with before.

I would rather they release Lost Highway or another Lynch film first, but I'll definitely pick this up!

Can't wait to see what horrendous original cover art this gets. I'm crazy about the MGM BD, so it will take a sizable upgrade to get me to bother with this... or the inclusion of the previously missing deleted scenes that didn't make it onto the MGM.

I'm well aware of what companies own what films. But to "restore" a film that already had a Lynch-approved master and an hour of deleted scenes, seems more like FWWM where they will just repackage it and slap a $30-higher price tag on it.

Super happy about this joining the collection. The MGM was great, but it deserves a spot in the CC. Wish all Lynch’s films would become a part.
