Default Dolby PLIIX & THX Ultra2 Cinema

Ok if you are using Dolby PLIIX or THX Ultra2 Cinema while watching your blu- rays, are you truly hearing the dolby truehd or dts master codecs. I know some use it so that it can matrix out the back rears on 5.1 blu rays. I am curious and wanted to know because the same question was asked to me and I couldnt answer it.

Yes. Digital signal processing is applied after the lossless soundtracks have already been decoded.
