So the extended cut opens with an introduction from the director, then when each scene that has been re-inserted starts "Deleted Scene" appears in the bottom left of the screen for 10 seconds.

Provided it’s not in the frame it’s probably not entirely crap. Technically if one were so inclined they could cut that out to make a digital copy.

Yes, that's on the disc. Locally ours don't come with a digital copy.
