Default How long do you wait?

When you place an order on Amazon.com marketplace, how long do you wait for it to ship before you tell Amazon.com there is a problem? A week? 2 weeks?

I'd wait a week from the final day they say they will ship it. But then again, I've never really had any problems with Amazon.com before.

there is a window of time listed by amazon for how long you are supposed to wait. if you don't receive the item by then, you should contact amazon and file a claim. it never hurts to email the seller a few times before that, though, respectfully asking when they shipped out the item.

Dito for me, been using Amazon.ca since 2004 and I never had one problem, iteams arrived as per the given date when shipped, even those from sellers.

A few months ago I placed 3 different orders with 3 different Amazon Marketplace sellers (via Blu-rayboxsets.com). I received everything between 3 and 7 days after I placing my orders.

As someone said earlier, Amazon gives a date and I wait by then.. but I try to find sellers that have a reputation for fast shipping.

I ordered 5 movies from Amazon Marketplace on Monday (the 9th) from 5 different sellers. They all had good ratings. 1 of them e-mailed that the order was shipped on Tuesday (the 10th) and 2 of them e-mailed the order was shipped on Wednesday (the 11th) which was the final day on the SHIPPING estimate on the order at Amazon.com. 2 of them have yet to e-mail me today (Friday the 13th). The delivery estimate is Feb17th - March 3rd. So, what I'm getting is that you would wait until March 3rd before filing a complaint with Amazon? That is almost a month!! Keep in mind that with the Marketplace you pay 2.98 for shipping.

So, I e-mailed the two offenders. One of them has e-mailed me back and said the order had shipped.

I guess I thought that if they didn't send an e-mail that they hadn't shipped it yet. Have you found many that did not send a shipping confirmation e-mail?

yes, it's up to the selller whether they send a shipping confirm or not. very few have for me. i wouldn't worry too much. if you run into trouble amazon will have your back. they always do. ive only experienced 1 or 2 total problems out of the 100+ marketplace orders i've placed, and amazon refunded me both times.

Yeah, 50-50 you get an email. Sometimes you might be able to tell something by looking at the order ("Where's My Stuff"), something might be indicated on the Order Summary page that wasn't there earlier.
