Default How long should I wait?

So my Polk Audio CSi A4 is coming in today via UPS along with the speaker cable I ordered. They both have been on the truck the past 2 1/2 days. How long should I wait until I feed them to my receiver and fire up the center channel? Should I wait a few hours and let them sit at room temp? Or am I just being and idiot and do not even have to wait at all? I hear it's not good to play around with electronics when they have been sitting in freezing temps.

I think electronics are only affected by cold when they are operated by a liquid battery (i.e. cell phones, cameras, etc.). I say fire them up.

Also if it's been a couple of hours they should be near room temp by now. Fire them up!

The biggest issue from a quick warm-up is condensation. A couple hours should be plenty of time for it to return to room temp.

I agree with aramis. I would wait a few hours. I would take them out of the box too... Let them sit in the room that they are going to be in. You should be fine right out of the box, though.

I'm not sure if cold will affect them or not, but just to err on the side of caution, I would wait until they are at room temperature and you should be ok.

Thanks for the tips. I really never ordered electronics through online E-Commerce sites before; I'm used to in store pick up. I just want to play it safe and try not to damage them. I'll have them sit for a couple hours after I get home today. They are still in transit; wish I could have worked from home today but I have too many meetings.
